Tried to sell a piece of jewelry I received as an early birthday present, mistakenly grabbed the chain I thought was going to be gifted to me and I decided to sell it since I was unemployed. My mothers actual present for me was in her closet and not on the nightstand in her room so I ended up grabbing the wrong chain. The $450 I received for her chain was in my possession still and I tried to return the money with my mother beside me explaining I grabbed the wrong chain (which was supposed to be my early birthday present) with the intended birthday present which was a gold plated chain fitting their budget, and this sheister refused to give my mother her Gold chain back that she owned and was given as a present by my father since the 60's, a chain I have never seen her wear because it was stored and kept in her room, a chain I was unfamiliar with which was the reason for my intuition when I realized hey that might be the chain she was talking about as an early birthday present, a chain he accused me of stealing from my own mother! When the actual chain for my birthday was in her closet. Long story short, my mother was furious after he refused to take his $450 back all while possessing my actual birthday chain which was clearly cheaper and gold plated right in front of him. This unprofessional uncourteous merchant said ok you want the chain back? Give me $700 since there is a no refund policy. My folks are elderly and on a fixed income who were both with me when he made that egregious demand, as they advocated on my behalf by saying that me their son accidently grabbed the wrong chain to sell to him. Guyana Gold Merchant was unempathetic to my situation and exclaimed "your son is a thief". I made it clear to him at the time of the sale by saying "can I return and buy this chain back"? That is even more proof of my awareness on the day of the sale that this chain maybe too expensive to be my birthday present, and be in the situation I grabbed the wrong one. I asked that question because of my own understanding that this looked really expensive and too costly to be my Birthday present, and my reason for selling it was that it looked a little too feminine along with being unemployed at the time. My father interjected with a reply "if my son was a thief he would have rummaged through my wife's closet where his actual birthday present was stored, and not found it in the open in her room on the nightstand in a box". Long story short this Pharisee charged us another $150 to get her chain back so the total was $600. The $450 that we returned to him to get her chain back wasn't enough so he capitalized and took advantage of an elderly couple on a fixed income who clearly didn't have the convenience to give him the extra $150 but did it anyway because of the significance of the chain and how sentimental it was to the family so sentimental that it was never displayed or shown to any of the members of the family. Therein in is the proof the chain would have never been sold in the first place had it shown to me before or if my mother wore it in front of me. As a born again Christian I know enough to forgive and admire not these temporal worldly treasures and possessions and furthermore as scripture suggests I would say to this individual your reward is surely with you if it's riches and fame you seek then surely it would be easier for a camel to walk through the eye of a needle then for the rich to enter the KINGDOM of God. I pray for this man as he truly values money and wealth over having any business ethics with a shattered and damaged moral compass. Please be careful purchasing jewelry from this place. From my understanding, They create pieces with GUYANA GOLD hence the name of the place.🙄 I’ve ordered multiple pieces of jewelry from this place In the past & have finally decided to compare my jewelry to some of my family members who only wear Guyana gold. Long story short none of my jewelry were actually made with Guyana gold, if you’ve ever seen jewelry from Guyana you’d understand & know that there’s a difference in the appearance of the gold, One appear a lot duller than the other… i’m very disappointed & not quite sure what to do because it’s been years since i purchased..

I went to sell a pair of earrings my dad bought from Kay Jewelers for my mom. He weighted it first and said we have to check if it’s real after. He weighted it and said $55. I asked the weight he said “like 2 grams” not even an exact weight. I called my mom to check if that is okay. Her and my dad said ehh maybe idk.
