I appreciate reviews yet I don't leave them often so here we go. My friends son had a very unexpected health scare and had to be airlifted to the children's hospital in syracuse. They both collect cards and his son is a huge Green Bay Packers fan so I wanted to get him something special to lift his spirits. I was looking for some unique cards and I shopped around what places I could find in cuse and the surrounding areas, and was left with "I'll have to search around back and put some out (eventually?)" or no call backs to my voicemails explaining the situation. I then fortunately found Hall of Frames. The owner answered my call and patiently described cards he had available as I'm an hour drive away I didn't want to chase another cold lead. I showed up the next morning and was shown some very cool Rodgers and Favre cards, as well as some fun packs for him to open. He even suggested some more responsible options for my 3 year old son who was growing impatient with the lack of attention. On my way out the door the owner stops me and gives me a Green Bay pennant for the kid. His father told me how happy he was with his gifts. I'm not sure if he reads these but if he does he helped a scared kid get lost in a happy moment and my son hasn't stopped talking about his baseball...
Read moreThis business’s buying offers feel very unfair. I understand that a profit needs to be made, but the offer I received was far below reasonable. I brought in a card in decent condition with a market value of around $70 and was given $15 for it. When I came back later, I saw the same card being sold for over $150. On top of that, I was told the card was in “poor condition” and wouldn’t sell for more, which clearly wasn’t true. I don’t expect full market value, but I do expect fair and honest dealings, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.
Update: now they saying “no one came to pick up the $15 and card”. When they literally JUST replied to a review made 2 weeks ago. What a bunch of clowns. Is this how y’all handle honest reviews...
Read moreI was in town to see the Utica Comets play so I figured I'd stop here to browse their hockey card selection. This place has a ton of product for sports and trading card games. Alot of autographed memorabilia and posters etc. The people working there were very nice as well. The store is a fun place to visit. What turned me off was their prices unfortunately. I get you have to make money in this business but some of the stuff was way overpriced. I don't think you should be charging 40$ for a Young Guns hockey card that sells for 10$ on ebay... Great selection here just not so...
