Cool Nepalese spot, half cafe half Indo-Asian grocery. Food was decent, portions were incredible for the price (the menu photos are deceiving - it’s way more)!
Service was wonderful and ambiance is great; there is a nice area with furniture where you can wait for your order or enjoy your drink. There are little 2-person cafe tables along the window where you can sit for dine in.
This was my first time, so I don’t want to be too harsh - but the bottoms of my chicken were burned to a black crisp. The first time I bit into one I thought I’d gotten a bone, but I was just the scorched bottom half of the chicken cube.
The lychee pop in my taro boba was also mediocre - half the bubbles were already popped. Not the best I’ve ever had, but also not terrible.
The momos and noodles were great though!
I came in to eat around 3pm on a Sunday, so perhaps that’s why the food wasn’t as good and I got leftovers from lunch hour. I will be back to give them another shot in the future and will update if...
Read moreThe food was excellent when we got it. This is mainly a take out place because it's a grocery Napalese store. Very little seating to dine in. The Internet said open til 9 pm, but evidently that is only in the summer and we arrive at 6:45, but we weren't told they closed at 7 pm. When we got our food, we offered to take it to our car so they could close, but we were told to stay and not hurry in our eating. Very kind of them. They had run out of rice and had enough for one of us to have rice. So I had it and my husband substituted pasta for his rice. Little did we know that they had to cook the pasta, so he could have had rice after all, since that had to be cooked too. A little bit of a language barrier in understanding the options available. Ultimately, the food was absolutely delicious and there was a lot of it. So I do recommend Muju, but order ahead and...
Read moreSeveral visits under my belt and I will be back again. Small grocer with a variety of imported items. While technically Nepalese that does not limit the selection; Jordanian tea, Mexican spices and Thai chips caught my eye but there was a little bit of everything. There is a small kitchen space in the back where they definitely throw down. It's not always easy to find a good vegan meal but Muju has it. The hot sauce served with the Momo's could be bottled and sold (I told the owner/chef as much). The staff is friendly and feels invested in the businesses success. This is the kind of place where they remember you after the first visit. Vote with your wallet and support local...
