I guess do not order when they are closing within the hour.. almost everything was cold, did not follow instructions to heat grape leaves. The Spanakopita was not hot & was soggy from dressing on salad, ordered lamb & beef strips plate, the pita bread was cut so small it was impossible to make gyro or sandwich to eat meal. Just all around unhappy with this $70 order. If they don't want to properly make food items then just don't accept further orders it's that simple.
In response to owner: Yes this was take out order, 1st time ordering. The grape leaves were cold, not warmed at all. I make them at home & warm them just fine without them falling apart. How is the customer to know you cut the pita bread up in very tiny triangles? The online description just states includes pita bread not very small pita bread triangles... Yes the bag was quite overstuffed, they should have used 2 bags, but that didn't cause my Spanakopita to be soggy & cold! Maybe better descriptions online would help people to understand exactly what they are getting? It's probably wise to just put dressings on side so other foods if included don't get soggy. Or just package separately to avoid sogginess. I had no idea that dressing came on side salad with Spanakopita & that they were packaged together in container, wrap up the Spanakopita so it doesn't get soggy, & warm properly please because mine was cold, not even warm. The baklava was delicious. My daughter enjoyed her meal. The greek fries were also very good. I will say amount of sliced beef & lamb was satisfactory. I personally dislike receiving cold food that should be hot, not just warm. I will try again as everything was tasty, but will call to make sure my requests are...
Read moreI used seamless for takeout. First time ordering and was disappointed because a good friend of mine recommended me because she knows I’m a foodie and my favorite spot happened to be closed that day. I ordered the lamb souvlaki gyro. The lettuce tasted old, taziki was extra watery and taste really sour like it was spoiled, and there was only like 5 pieces of lamb. I wished their was the option for strips just for the lamb. I didn’t want the one with the beef. But it is what it is. I also ordered the dolma which is my favorite. Couldn’t really enjoy it because the taziki was just bad. So I ate it by themselves with the pita bread which didn’t come with the dolma. The place I usually go to gives it to you automatically on the side with a generous amount. And honestly I’ve eaten Greek food while I lived in Jersey City and NYC and that’s how they do it as well but okay. Had to order it separately and I didn’t know $1.00 worth was literally 1 pita cut in 4 lol. The reason I’m giving this a 1 star because not only did I not enjoy the food, I had to deal with an upset stomach all night and having to use the bathroom repeatedly. I use delivery services for my food when I’m too swamped with work. And my delivery person that day really didn’t take long with my food which I was surprised about. So I can’t blame him. Maybe I ordered on a bad day but unfortunately I won’t be trying to find...
Read moreI have ordered from this place through doordash before, food has always knocked it out of the park. No question there. Today was my first time walking in the store and picking up food and it was what really warranted me leaving this review. I walked in and was greeted very kindly by the (forgive me) handsome younger man. I came in a bit earlier than my pick up time and he said ‘no problem’ and finished my order up with haste. As I came to check out the older gentleman made himself known to me, very sweet man, made witty conversation while I was cashing out. As someone who has mediterranean family who I don’t see nearly as much as I would like, the experience was a large source of comfort only to be topped off by amazing food that was clearly made with passion. I will certainly continue to support this business in the future and I hope they...
