Unearth Malee Organic Soaps — Local services in Claremont

Bought a whole bunch of their items for my shop about 9 months to a year ago, so excited as their mission aligned with mine.... but I regret it at this point.

My attraction was their mission, organic and palm oil free ingredients. This is all great.

But one small thing after another has just completely turned me off of their products: Too many of their bar soaps began to develop orange spots (some of the soaps were also not fully cured/hardened when they arrived as they were squished in shipping) The bar soap packaging has colored paper (for product design) wrapping it, but this sticks to the bar and isn't needed at all. It's a turn off to my customers. The Deodorant tube, when tested in composting, is unnecessarily coated in white for marketing (brown would make it more eco friendly), and the actual deodorant doesn't last and is more pungent than effective. To top it all off, the "tin" that holds the bar lotion, isn't actually a real tin! It's a metal bottom, with a metal top ring and a PLASTIC circle insert where the label is!! False advertisement if I do say so.

So frustrating. Such a great mission and purpose, but executed so poorly and with false information. I wish I could return their items. I will probably pull their products and definitely cease all...

This is a wonderful store that sells unique, beautiful products. The owner and her team are so talented, creative, and kind. I have been using the bar soaps from Unearth Malee for a few years and they are the only soaps I trust on my skin. I have eczema and sensitive skin. These soaps are the only soaps I would recommend to others with those skin issues. The scents of the soaps are special, artistic, and delightful. The scents are not too overwhelming for people with allergies; they are subtle and sublime. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the candles (they last a long time!). Also, I really appreciate the ethics and thoughtful practices of this business. They are often supporting non-profits and movements that are doing crucial work. This place is amazing! You can’t go wrong...
