hands down one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. They always have random charges on bills that when you call to ask about they can magically take off. They will call you a liar when you call to cancel your service, Continue to bill you even though you have cancelled and turned your equipment in. I paid my account in full and received a collections call 6 months after cancelling, meanwhile never receiving a bill, saying I owed for the last 6 months(even though i had cancelled and turned in my equipments, with receipts to prove so). Upon calling to inquire about this I was told I never called in to talk to them about cancelling. They said "Our records are very accurate and you did not call." I had to provide a detailed statement from my cell company as well as receipts for the equipment at this point becasuse they magically now decide i may not have turned it in (a different story than 2 minutes ago). We now move out of state from time warner this a seperate occasion, and repeat process from above has now been initiated by the great CRIME WARNER CABLE. and on top of all this after having had them for a total of 3 years i had to have my refurbished 1980's style box replaced 21 times in 3 years. thats right incase the number is hard to look at here goes-TWENTY ONE replacement boxes. Read moreI really don't even want to rate time warner cable a 1 star, because they absolutely suck! Most of the time the equipment or services mess up and dont work, and "if" they fix it, it takes forever for them to do so. They are way too expensive and their packages suck! I actually have time warner cable, phone and Internet right now, only because it's the only service I can get where I live. Like right now, my current situation is for the past 2 weeks the guide hasn't been working. So they told me it was their system and that they fixed it I just needed to reboot my box. Well I did that and now it's telling me advance services are not available. Lol, I knew that was going to happen, I told my husband, watch I'm going to reboot it and it's going to mess up even worse, LIKE ALWAYS! This crap always happens. I've had my phone service go out for almost 2 months before. It's always something! And you would think they would give u some kind of notice to let u know when these things are happening and they know about it. My mother in law has dish network. I wish I could get their services. Read moreIncompetent at best. A chronological description of events would unfold like a piss poor depressing comedy. I recently had to call and complain because my $70 a month 15Mbs internet service was running at 5. They talked me into upgrading and agreed to send a service tech. Service tech circled the house 5 times but never stopped. Magically my service was restored. It did come to light that I was paying rent on a modem that was obsolete. It was so obsolete that there was no record of the part number, only a MAC address. While they had no idea what make or model it was, I still have to drive 45 minutes out of my way to return it or be charged accordingly. Past experience (and multitudes of issues since), has had me drop my cable TV service due to incompetence. I had their DVR service but my bill kept escalating. I attempted to drop to a lower tier and had to drop off the equipment. Time Warner lost my equipment and refused to drop the service. When TW located the equipment, a TW bucket truck was dispatched to disconnect my cable entirely. I called customer service and dropped the TV service at that time.
