I have been a customer of Happy Gardens for almost 30 years. Since the original owner John sold this business it has went downhill at a steady decline. Today we ordered egg rolls with little cabbage and no ginger. Cheese wontons that we're not seasoned properly if at all and we're WAY under-stuffed. All you tasted was dry wonton with a side of cream cheese with no fixins in them. The peppered chicken and beef fried rice were good. The fortune cookies were unusually stale. I have spent years trying to find a good Chinese restaurant that knows how to make good cheese wontons. As a veteran military wife, we have seen quite the number of Chinese restaurants in each location we have been stationed. NOBODY has even come close to Happy Garden! Not only were their cheese wontons phenomenal, but their pork fried rice was amazing, the service was FAST and friendly too!! It’s a shame my favorite Chinese restaurant of 30 years does not have enough respect for me to refund my money or write down a credit the only time I have ever complained. Sure it’s a new owner as of a couple of years ago, but tonight the food was not fit to eat. The sweet and sour chicken was hard, pepper steak was chewy and small portion, cheese wontons were cold.
