The Dutch Oven — Restaurant in Clarksdale

Dropped into this place when visiting Clarksdale in September and just HAD to review the White Chilli Soup!! Oh My Goodness.... I have never tasted something so delicious that made me wish I had a bucket of this stuff to dive into! I have looked, since coming home, on the internet but there are so many recipes that I just don't know where to start to find something that would resemble what I ate here. So, I think I'm just going to have to experiment but I have no doubt that nothing will hit the spot like this did! Excellent food all round but this soup is one to try if you're in the area and it's on the menu. Ladies serving were lovely and attentive too and the cafe was clean and airy... Went for lunch today around 1:15 pm. They were decently busy, but the phone was ringing off the hook. The staff there is super friendly and nice. Really made for a pleasurable lunch with the wife. Food portions may look small, but are very delicious and filling.

I had the BBQ pork with a side of macaroni salad. My wife had the tex mex panini and pie combo minus the chicken and add jalapeno because she is a vegetarian.

We both really like our meals. My bbq sandwich was top notch. Pork was tender, not chewy like I have had at other places. Their in store baked bread was perfect as well. Macaroni salad was also delicious. Wifey enjoyed her meal as well. We both really liked the French silk pie she ordered.

We always get our cakes and cupcakes from here because they are delicious. I will have to start coming...

What a cool little place! Seemed a little odd for the staff to be wearing old timey outfits but take your order on an iPad but these are the times I guess. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious!!! I had the Tuesday special which was chicken poppy seed casserole that came with green beans.
