Dollar General — Local services in Clearwater

This is one of the nicest DG stores I've been to. Usually well stocked with what I want, except the Hispanic food section, which is very limited. Clean & well organized. Helpful & friendly employees. Easy access on busy intersection.

11/26./19 - Unfortunately, I need to redo my earlier review of this store. I moved nearby a couple months ago, and stop here often for basics and sales. The last couple weeks, they continue to be out of stock of very basic items that I've always bought at DG. Of course, they have lots of Xmas things stocked. Also, on the weekends, , probably the busiest days of the week, they only have one cashier so the line gets long. Lastly, it seems like whenever I go there, all of the shopping carts are outside, so I have to fight with the door to bring one in if I need one. Sorry, but this DG gets a 2 or 2.5 star instead. Mistakenly bought the most expensive toy ($20 L.O.L Watch) at this store for my daughter as a gift for a very kind deed. On the way home she ripped it out of the package as children do and we got to charging it. After charging all night + the next night we figure out that it won’t even turn on. Walk in to exchange it that day and they refused without the receipt even though it is the exact toy on the shelf to return or even exchange for one that works. I understand not getting my money back, but you really can’t exchange it for one that works? It’s brand new. We will never return to this store again. We’ll be sure to let others...

It's like any other Dollar General I suppose, except when it comes to the staff! The employees there are ALWAYS exceptionally helpful and friendly. They always go out of their way to search the back store room if there's something we cant find up front, and one time a woman had just gotten back from her lunch break and we were discussing the home made guacomole she made and brought in. She gave my mother and I some to try! Lol! I did NOT expect that! Ive been going there for yrs when Im at my mothers house and we both love how we're treated...
