One of the best upsides to being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition is discovering all of the terrific clean eating places around town. Karma is a fantastic little oasis in the city with great food, knowledgeable ownership, and a chill zen vibe. Everything is in-house and made to order. The whole space is lovely, immaculate, full of plants. Theres even an herb garden off the patio. Wow.
Our sandwiches originally come on naan and pita, but the only GF option was a wrap. Everything was super fresh and the wraps had been lightly toasted. I was a little bummed that they don’t have like-for-like GF breads (GF wraps are so blah), but the sandwiches were delicious just the same. The watermelon tangerine juice was freshly made and so refreshing. My iced matcha latte with plain almond milk was smooth and creamy. The little chia & date bites were dangerously decadent. And don’t get me started on the chagaccino!!! Yum!...
Read moreLanded at the airport and was excited to come here for some fresh eats before a weekend of beach fare indulgence, however left disappointed. My husband’s chicken sandwich had zero flavor. My avocado veggie pita sandwich was bland and required a lot of the dressing for flavor (the dressing was tasty tho), the avocado was $1 extra but I had to pick out half of it bc it had spoiled. For what it’s worth, staff was apologetic about the avocado issue, but it really shouldn’t have been in the sandwich to begin with, it was so brown/black (and not from oxidation).
Plus points were the warm flavorful potato salad and amazing pita chips that came on the side. Green machine smoothie was good, husband liked it but had too much celery for my taste. charming cute place with a great bookshelf. I would be interested in trying the salads and açaí bowls which seem to have great reviews here, but given my experience wouldn’t go out of...
Read moreI loved Karma location on 4th St.. They really care about food there. The mushroom soup was the best in the known, to me, Universe :) So I came here to the Clearwater location and ordered the same mushroom soup. It was not as good. They pulled it out of a refrigerator and warmed it up. They charged me $28 and one would think that a $28 dollar soup would receive special treatment but it did not taste as good. I wonder if they microwaved it? And one should not boil miso it looses all of its healing properties, not to mention the taste. The almond milk late was burned and undrinkable. I give them 4 stars because the concept is great and the other location blew me out of the sky. I know they can do better. I hope....
