I had a volunteer job for someone in the community and did not have the money or the materials to do the job professionally. I went to customer service where Em was working. She called the manager (I did not ask for their name) to see if there was anything they could do to help me. The manager approved $50 credit to go towards my volunteering endeavors. Which really made me happy to see that big name corporations care for every individual and not too concerned about just having a tax write off. It helps me believe in big name companies and their leaders actually having a heart and not driven by greed. Thank you for that. Em went above and beyond to help me providing excellent customer service quickly by helping me look up materials, giving me the item number so I knew I was getting the correct items, and the location of the materials needed for the job, and gave me the isle number with the section number of the list. With the help of Em and the manager I was in and out of the store within 15 minutes (from the time I walked in and walked out from check out) having the correct items (that's with going from one end of the store to the other for the items I did not have to go back and forth to find anything). Thank you Home Depot for the help so I can help others. I will definitely invest in your store for future projects when the funds become available. (p.s. I had no idea quikcrete was so inexpensive $6 for 80lbs and superb quality)
The second time I came with a volunteer project. Thomas also approved of the materials that I needed that were under $50 without asking for recognition or receipts for tax purposes.
My experience at home Depot today was exceptional the manager Thomas was very helpful and knowledgeable not only about the products that are inside the store but also about the project that I am dealing with. Thank you home Depot for hiring such great staff and promoting exceptional management. Thomas really bleeds...
Read moreI bought a $2000 refrigerator from the Cleburne Home Depot. It was supposed to be delivered Wednesday Sept 3rd. We waited most of the day for the delivery just to receive a text stating that the new delivery would be Saturday. They did not give me an option on the delivery days or time of day. Saturday came around, and my wife and I are busy with the plans that we had made weeks before the home depot came along and inserted themselves into busy calendar. My wife Penny spent an hour on the phone today trying to pin down a time that the refrigerator would arrive. We finally finished what we had on our schedule and started heading to our house when we got a phone call from the appliance people saying they are out side of our house and probably would not be there when we arrived. I told the young lady on the other end of the phone that we less that 10 minutes away. I told her some of the difficulties we had been having with trying to get the delivery completed. Now mind you we have been without our refrigerator for 7 days. Last night we cooked a meal for 45 people that had to be ready for lunch time today. She hung up in my ear. When we made to our home the delivery people were there. My wife welcomed them in and they started the delivery process. The driver came back into our house and said to us that we were going to be disappointed. Well it turns out that the refrigerator was damaged so we never got our refrigerator. I canceled my order and decided to seek out a better place to do business. I have been a diehard home depot fan for years, but today you lost a fan. I have a refrigerator delivering on Monday guaranteed. Thank you Oliver Dyer for helping us in out time of need. I look forward to having a refrigerator again. I would also like to point out that there is no a live person in their corporate office to leave a complaint with. So with all of that being said good bye home depot. Your brand is...
Read moreI ordered a refrigerator and dryer from Home Depot. The day before they were due to be delivered, I receive a call that the refrigerator wouldn't be available for anither month. So I cancelled the refrigerator and was told the dryer would be delivered. Then, I get a call saying that because the refrigerator was cancelled, they couldn't deliver the dryer when promised. The dryer was delayed by a week and then the delivery people left a gouge in my new laminate floor because they ignored my instructions that the dryer had to be hand maneuvered into place because of the tight space, instead of trying to use a dolly to maneuver it. THEN I was told that in order to process the refund for the refrigerator, there was paperwork I had to sign at the store. I go to the store and...no, there is NO paperwork I have to sign. I was assured that the refund was processing and I should have it in 7-14 days. THREE WEEKS LATER...no refund. I call and am told that because there were TWO things cancelled, they couldn't process the refund and I am AGAIN told I have to go back to the store and have THEM submit the refund on their system and wait AGAIN, God knows how long this time, for the refund to process. My whole experience with Home Depot has been an absolute nightmare of incompetence and people apparently telling me whatever fairytale sounds good to them about how things work there. I find it incomprehensible in this day and age that they cannot deal with more than one item at a time, to remove an item from a multiple item order without having to scrap the entire delivery AND to refund more than one item at a time. The rest of the modern free world has managed to conquer these problems...but not Home Depot. I will not ever deal with them again after this. This was...
