This was my annual visit to Flowerama to get Christmas wreaths for my parents' and sister's graves. It was a bit later in the season than I normally go, but not much. Their selection of cemetery wreaths was limited. And the decorations were not as lovely as in previous years. I ended up with a swag for my sister that I had them add a small reindeer and a couple of other decorations to.
The person who took care of me was great. She was the one who suggested the reindeer after I told her my sister died very young. It was a thoughtful bit of whimsy. She was quick getting the decorations attached; however, there were several employees taking up space behind her just chatting. One appeared to be the manager. They crowded the space, making it hard for the people who were actually working. I get that non-work conversations happen and perhaps the 3 women were on break. But it's unprofessional to be chatting when customers are waiting. Take it off stage!
My other gripe is being charged for the few extra decorations when there were wreaths and swags with the same price that were much more heavily decorated. Will I go back? Probably. They are the florist closest to the cemetery. Will I go if I need flowers for another occasion? Nope. I'll find...
Read moreWent in to pick up a bouquet this morning, and for an established floral shop, the quality of flowers were not impressive. Most upsetting was the poor customer service. We picked up two dozen roses and asked if the florist would cut them and split them into two separate bouquets. The florist said she would, but would charge us a hefty surcharge. We decided to split and cut them ourselves. But then we specifically picked six other long stem flowers for a tall vase, and after paying for both the roses and long stem flowers, the florist quickly took the long stem flowers and cut them to about half size without asking. When we said, “Wait, we wanted those flowers long,” she huffed at us and said, “Oh it’s too late.” She did check in the back for replacements, but they didn’t have any more. She did not offer to exchange or refund the flowers. Then, clearly annoyed, instead of wrapping the flowers as she had previously offered, she roughly threw the two dozen roses into a bag and dropped them on the counter. I was absolutely shocked. Read moreI called this florist today last minute because the flowers my family had ordered for my uncles funeral had no ribbons on them stating loving brother or uncle and I was desvasted. I had 2 hours before his funeral and no idea what to do. Im really sad I did not catch the lady who took care of me name but she instantly helped me and wouldn't take a penny for them. I also picked out a bouquet of flowers to add to the arrangement I had picked out and she wouldn't take any money for them. She said how sorry she was that my flowers weren't complete and to please come to them the next time. She offered her condolences and I left with tears in my eyes from the kindness that still exists in this world today. To the lady who took care of me today thank you from the bottom of my heart.
