The Blue Palm Latin restaurant and lounge

Just left and for my first time. It will be my last. As a business owner myself for one me and my friend came originally to try their food. But when my friend came from the bathroom, when we arrived, she said it was filthy. And the hall way leasing to bathroom was gross flys,dirt, crud very unsanitary.Toilets,floors, sinks and wall. (And it was not busy at the time maybe 8 ppl) so after she tells me that I said never mind I'm scared to try food. So we order 2 single shots and pineapple juice. Now when it comes she brings us a big cup of juice each, which is fine but normally of course it comes in something small because it's a chaser. I drank it taste watered down. I didn't think anything of it, I just wasn't going to drink it. So after we waited maybe 15 mins for her to come back. We ask for our checks. And when the bill comes it's like $32 for 2 single shots which whatever ok I don't mind paying at all. But juice was $3 and so I told her the juice taste watered down. (And clearly u can see I didn't drink it) it was also drowned n ice and honestly could have been mixed with water to stretch (as I know pineapple juice can be pricey) and I drank juice the minute minute I got it. So she brings me a shot of their pineapple juice in a shot cup to taste and tells me he said it's nothing wrong he's not taking it off. And the crazy part is the color of the juice she brought vs what was n my cup wasn't the same and of course wasn't drowned n ice.

Point is how petty is that. I have no reason to lie. And in fact I was excited to drive 30 mins halfway across town to give this place a try. But clearly they don't value their customers and can't take constructive criticism. Something so little turned petty, and unprofessional. And if anything the waiter shoulda said u know what I did drown their cups in ice maybe that's why. But no. So that's all do better. And do better with cleanliness that will...

Stopped by for a late lunch. Ordered three things, papas locos, birria empanadas, and carne frite mofongo at just about 3 pm. We were asked if we wanted our app first, said we didn't care and were told it would be ten to fifteen minutes. There were only three tables with people and one adult with three kids running the place. I will say the curly haired young woman that was helping out was doing great. At about half an hour the girl serving us came to apologize saying the food would be soon and I ordered a smoothie to tide me over. Almost an hour after ordering we got our papas locos which was a lukewarm mess of fries, chunk chicken and like 5 sauces and told our meals will be right out. At an hour and fifteen minutes after ordering I had gotten my be empanadas but the carne fritas where no where in sight. I let the server know it'd been too long that we really needed boxes and to pay our check. The kid was pretty expedient getting our boxes. The adult was apparently stuck in a phone call and couldn't process our payment yet, neither could the kid. When she did come out she decided to help every other table for another ten to fifteen minutes until we had to flag her down. I tried explaining that I would like to patronize again but that we had a legitimate issue and then felt held hostage by her wanting to chat up the other customers instead of helping us when she knew we were there for closing in on two hours after ordering without even getting what we ordered. She just blinked and gave me the "ok" like it was unreasonable for me to expect her to check us out with any expedience when we'd been waiting around for for 1.5+ hours, which maybe that is an unreasonable...

Nice atmosphere I will return to see Angie when im in Ohio.. she's an amazing server great energy approachable friendly welcoming attentive . Fyi The bartenders & the servers need to take a page out of Angie's book , because no one else was giving angy Energy.

Working in this industry you have to be very welcoming and we only got that from homegirl/ thank u for ur service . Food bomb takes forever but its good ... Drinks not so good . It don't make no sense to have a sour sour lemon drop those drinks are easy to make they were disgusting .

Ya Need new Bartenders or maybe I came on the wrong night. Later that night it was a few hood rats with bonets on there head . (Not cute ) sitting on the polls before you enter the restaurant.. wouldn't recommend to have that look in front of your establishment , it will deter classy pretty humans from coming in there. Thank you
