RUDE AND THREATENING OWNER ROBERT UPDATE AND RESPONSE-
As far as the first call, I was unable to change the temperature on the dryer so I called for assistance as I should be able to. I was told someone would call 30 minutes before arrival. I received a call from Robert saying he was 30 minutes away. I said "Okay, I'm here" I also expressed that I was unable to talk at the time and that I can show him what my concern was once he arrived. Either way, It should not count against me for calling with a concern about an appliance purchased under warranty and needing assistance changing the settings on the device. For this person to make comments such as " All I know is that you're not going to waste our valuable time with false accusations and think that it doesn't come at a cost." As if I have the time to waste is asinine. I called off of work Monday, April 1st waiting for a technician to show up as promised which they never did. I received a call the following morning saying they were 30 minutes away .. No apology for the no call no show the previous day, no sense of empathy towards my schedule, no professionalism. What reason would I have in calling a service technician for help if there was not an actual issue I was having with the appliances. For a business owner to come to such a conclusion is so extremely bizarre. Furthermore, statements like "I don't think you would've wanted to hear what I really think/thought of you" is so so strange considering the fact that I do not know this man outside of purchasing an appliances from him, thus supporting local minority owned small businesses in my community. calling to receive a service that was guaranteed through the warranty it came with should not have resulted in such volatile behavior by the owner of the establishment. These statements sound like personal attacks rather then a business related concern. In reference to me saying the second tech had to "tune up" the appliances in, more specific terms - the technician said that he went ahead and tightened the belt that was newly replaced to ensure it wasn't the wrong size. I did not watch him the entire time as I was working remote, neither did I question his ability to install 6 screws into the bottom of the dryer as I was busy doing other things inside of my home. Either way, What would be the conflict in ensuring that the dryer had all screws placed back into the bottom after the belt was tightened? When Robert called my phone after the tech visit, he hung up on me before I could even speak at all, because I have filed a compliant and review, he is now being dishonest in saying that I was disrespectful and referred to the appliances as a "Piece of crap", I do not use language such as this during business transactions as I know that it is inappropriate and would less likely lead to a soluble outcome. This person sounds completely unhinged and it is my personal belief that Robert has some type of discrimination towards women as all of his other complaints have been showing a consistent pattern of people presumed to be of the female gender. Laylay, Vashlas Jewels, Destiny Mccray, Tonya Lynn Yerian, Shariel Drake, Kathleen Nganga, Jessica Mangione, Jeniece Allen, Malikah Jones, Jessica Abunimeh, Sarienya Thomas, Dalaney Elliot, Kate Andrews, Keri D are amongst the many names of people with similar experiences specifically of disrespect and vitriol received by Mr. Robert. As a young single woman, I have been left feeling unsafe after my interaction with Robert and the phone call I received and I find it not only necessary but urgent that someone takes a deeper investigation of his business practices as no one should be left feeling violated and uncertain after a business transaction that includes exposing sensitive personal information. His behavior is extremely unhinged and unacceptable. I most certainly will be taking my business elsewhere.. The Attorney...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI moved into a rental property about a year ago the appliances inside of the property were purchased at āThe Plugā appliance store. Within the first month of me living in this house, the refrigerator broke down. The freezer was over freezing and the refrigerator didnāt refrigerate, so being proactive, I unplugged the refrigerator, let the freezer defrost and called my landlords to tell them what the issue was. The Plug was extremely responsive and someone came out to fix the refrigerator. The fix lasted for about a week. I had to call back about the refrigerator. Same issue. They once again were very responsive and sent someone out to fix the issue. The fix lasted for about a week. I had to call back about the refrigerator same issue. They again sent someone out to fix the issue. This time repair guy identified the root cause of the problem and said that he will be back out within the week with another part. After the third and final house call, things appeared to be fine for a month or two. The refrigerator leaked heavily and would defrost and refreeze periodically. Finally after months of dealing with consistent issues I talked to my landlords again with the intentions of purchasing something brand new from somewhere else with my own money. My landlords said that the fridge was still under warranty and there should be a solution. They (the plug) did acknowledge the issue of the appliance and a solution was reached to replace the fridge. So a second refrigerator was delivered to the house. Thinking my issues with food spoilage were over, the groceries that Iād just purchased would prove me wrong the following morning when I woke up to fix lunch for work. It was actually blowing hot air (go figure). They swapped it out for a third refrigerator and Iāve had it for a couple of days now. It seems to be working fine no issues, but now that refrigerator drama appears to be over, now the electric stove doesnāt work. It was just the lights not coming on for pre-warming at first, now the oven doesnāt warm at all and the burners do not work either. So now I have a non working stoveš¤¦š¾āāļø. while I do appreciate the prompt and accountable response from the store and the willingness to fix the issues with their appliances, I continue to have nothing but problems with their used appliances. Two stars because the customer service however, if I could rate the quality of their used appliances, it would be zero stars. I am to the point where Iād rather spend my own money on a brand new appliance. This way I know that it I will have a year warranty and I donāt have to have it replaced three times before I know I have something working and in good condition. This always seems to happen around the time I buy groceries. I cannot tell you how much money Iāve lost on groceries from non-working appliances. If you choose to buy your appliances from this establishment, I would definitely say buy the brand new stuff (Iāve heard good things) I do not recommend used.
Update: The owner of the plug was very vigilant about making sure that I had a working refrigerator. He eventually coordinated the delivery of a new one. I couldnāt be happier! Iām adding another two stars because it was important to the owner that I get a working fridge. I donāt know if the owner reads these but if you do, thank you! Also the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe got a washer here for $300 off retail because it was dented. It was manufactured in 10/2021 (check inside the door on the serial number strip). Our dryer was used and has issues immediately. First we were told we didnāt pay for installation. When we paid The plug never asked if we wanted install but we didnāt inquire so no harm no foul there. Wish we had though because it was squeaking upon start. After 1 dryer load it got worse. I decided to fix myself as I didnāt know how long the plug would take to respond to a warrantee claim. The rollers looked great but the drum was put in backwards (Samsung has pink and black tape to denote which way is front and back). The roller idler pulley bearing was totally warped and it was also missing the pieces that hold the wheel on the arm. Obviously the plug just flips appliances but I am not confident in their system for checking over used appliances. A replacement kit was $30 on Amazon. Iāve attached photos and a vid to show how warped the idler pulley wheel is. You can also see black from where the belt was getting warn and rubbed off. Again, I donāt think the plug did this replacement job. I think the dryer prob came into their facility like this and they didnāt catch it.
Iād look for scratch and dent stuff here but stay away from older appliances. When I was shopping the staff couldnāt confirm what was used and what was new but check those manufacturing dates. The more recent the better! They had multiples of the same Samsung washer model and mine was about $50 cheaper than another washer even though it was months newer and was new.
Everyone working there is friendly and delivery folks are efficient and kind as well. Just keep in mind you get what you pay for.
Overall very thankful for my basically new washer and would confidently go back to find new scratch and dent appliances that are delivered quickly and...
