Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center, Inc. — Local services in Clifton Forge

As I traverse our great country, there are times when something reaches down from the sky and has me detour into some little community where I find this beautiful arts and crafts energy. Such is what I found at the Alleghany Highlands Arts and Crafts Center. As you can see by the photos, all they have awashes the senses. Wonderful ceramics, jewelry, and more at prices that are too good to pass up. Don't get me wrong -- in the past, going through West Virginia has always included a stop at Tamarack, but now that I've found the Alleghany Arts & Crafts Center, there's more to my personal taste than Tamarack allowed. Not only are there arts and crafts, but there's also an interesting gallery that rotates works by regional artists. So glad we stopped in here. The ladies working that day were so polite and helpful and friendly! They made you feel at home the minute you walked in the door. Lots of eclectic and unique handmade gift items by local artisans. Not to mention walls full of art....
