Major School of Dance Inc — Local services in Coal City

The staff was always friendly. My daughter was enrolled in jazz, Hip-Hop, and gymnastics. We missed several sessions so i decided to pull her in November (new employment and my mother was sick). My daughter has not been to any practices and I paid a fortune (my fault for not being able to bring her). My mother was put into hospice in December, and my daughter did not attend any meets however, I’m being charged well over $230. I called them and explained my mother passed away January 7th, and without any care of this bill, they offered a punch card. She has not been to any practices so how would I be responsible for months payment when I cancelled?? I also paid cash for the dance recital outfit which we will not be able to get or keep (not allowed). I’d love to see the original contract, which they were not LLC or fully legal operational when I signed my daughter up (business ownership transition phase). For anyone signing their child up, please read the contract and be careful. This could be a nightmare. Also, new requirements call for Mary Kay products for recitals, lipstick cost around 40$ * (owner sells Mary Kay and promoting side business for financial gain). Caution and read...

I have danced at Major's for about 6 years and I have never been happier anywhere else! I used to dance at other studios and I didn't really enjoy it. I love the Tjelle's SOO much and I really enjoy going to class there. Everyone at the studio is like one big family and we are all really close. We joked around a lot but we also get a little off work done. I always LOVE the dances and the costumes. As soon as you walk into the doors your part of the family. My daughter has danced at Major School of Dance since she was 5 years old and we love this studio. Quality dance instruction that emphasizes each dancers skills. The students are challenged and encouraged to become better dancers. The owners and instructors are very welcoming and treat each dancer with kindness and respect.
