I called for a measurement. They came out quickly and spoke as if they could schedule the install within a week. I showed them the 2 downstairs bedrooms and the staircase i wanted carpeted. They took the carpet measurements. I showed them the Linoleum i had previously purchased and the area where i wanted it installed. They rolled out and measured my Linoleum to ensure enough square footage. I then showed them the area I wanted LVT installed on the landing and bottom of the staircase. They were very friendly during the measuring. I had to call 2 days in a row to get my quote, finally getting in contact with Sean. Sean quoted me $800 in materials, $375 for carpet labor and an additional $190 for the remaining flooring labor. I told him I was happy with the price and I would come to their location and write a check for materials. I chose a light gray carpet for both bedrooms, dark grey carpet for the stairs and black metal transition pieces. I wrote a check for $800 dollars after walking through the store choosing and discussing the materials needed. They installed the carpet in the bedrooms the next day, in which I paid the installers $375 for the rooms that were left duct taped to the concrete (where the Linoleum should meet the carpet). I assumed they'd be back to finish the job shortly, as apposed to leaving my carpet duct taped with 5 children running around. This was on Oct 22. I have been calling daily trying to schedule a date for the job to be completed. I have been hung up on several times by a guy named Carl. Sean, the man that gave me the quote has not been back to work since the 22nd. Today it is November 2 and I finally get in contact with Sean. So after paying $1175 for 2 rooms that are duct taped to the floor, Sean tells me that he had initially only quoted me for the two rooms. Why would we discuss and measure all that I showed him on that day and only quote two rooms? I had emphasized that I was happy with the quote for EVERYTHING and came immediately to write a check. He changed everything after that check was cashed. I am in high hopes that he makes things right and competes the job. I will hear from him tomorrow morning and I will update this review if carpet king follows through with their quote. I was so happy with how friendly and quick they were in the beginning that I had referred them to several friends and family. Waiting for them to...
Read moreWe had Joes install our carpet and the dinged up our base boards and walls. They said they would reimburse for the cost we paid the painter to fix but after emailing and calling Sean (or Shawn?) several times I gave up and ate the cost. Also, I did not like the pet names that Sean/Shawn called me (honey, sweetie or whatever) it’s very demeaning and not professional. The carpet installation was good and we don’t have any issues with the actual carpet job they did except the walls/baseboards being dinged up. We will probably choose someone else when we get our basement...
