I've never written a bad review for a company because I realize it effects their business but I've had such a bad experience here I just had to share. I purchased a custom home office here. They built my cabinets and wood maple top. It started off with my first visit there I felt as if I had to beg someone to help me. I was ready to buy setup and had my dimensions with me. That should have been my first sign I should have never come back, but I did and had a pretty good experience my second time when a younger man helped me out and showed me around. I realized I had to go back home and make a few changes to my original plan.
I finally ordered everything and had a pretty good experience there. The cabinets were supposed to be ready within two weeks but it took an extra week till they were finally ready. I installed the cabinets in my office with everything they supplied to me but came up with two extra side panels that I had paid for. No big deal I'll return the item. That's what I thought. The guy who took my order there gave me a hard time saying I need to install the panels for a "professional look". I told him the cabinets already had a professional look and I don't need these panels. He put them on my order, I didn't ask for them. Long story short he wouldn't refund my full amount. He would only give me 2/3 of my original amount I paid.
I was very upset about this because he told me to order an item I didn't need. Then upon returning the item he wouldn't give me full credit. I believe that's called a "JACK" Let me tell you Joe...I will never shop at this place again nor will I ever give positive feedback to friends or family about this place. Horrible Customer Service!!! You officially lost a customer for life. I guess it was worth the $50...
Read moreWe bought two oak counters and two upper shelves to match the others we had in our kitchen. First off they were very expensive, but we put our trust in Colorado Lumber, after shopping around and ordered them.
The only part of the counters and cabinets that are not particle board are the faces. At that not particularly heavy particle board. After we opened them up, inspected them, and installed them, we realized that there was only one half depth particle board shelve for the two 24" deep counter. So we have only one shelf for two counters, and that shelf is only half the depth of the counter, and none for the cabinets up top, which aren't even drilled to take any shelves. In calling back, we were told, that's the way they are supposed to come. Check your kitchen cabinets and see if they don't have a number of full depth shelves. If we had been told that in the first place, we would not have bought from Colorado Lumber, and probably will not buy...
