Was served this zone with un-melted cheese in it. I asked a few days later if they could remake and I was told no. If you dont complain that night, nothing can be done. Its a sad because I am a frequent customer and it feels like my complaints to the night manager on 10/22/25 were completely dismissed. No empathy, no concern, ever scolded me by saying that cheese can be eaten raw so I have nothing really safety wise to complain about. He said because i waited so long, I was probably lieing. I kept receipt, the uneaten zone, took pictures. Why no faith in a regular customer? Im supposed to give you the good faith to keep eating here? I just ordered a cheese zone and the cheese was unmelted, I am right to be upset. I just didn't feel like complaining THAT night so I guess I am the dumb one.(because i didnt know about that rule) Really disappointed in the food and especially the follow up service. That night manager was so dismissive when im already going through a lot and I just wanted I hot gooey cheese snack, but instead, cold cheese, crumbling, grainy texture. Rejecting complaints because of a 3 day delay doesn't change the fact the food was made wrong, but it keeps the money. Make this right, just remake it without un-melted cheese. That's all I wanted, I dont know why this is hard.

First off, I will say that our order was on-time for pick-up and warm. I’m glad they have an accurate time stamp on their website for pickup orders! That’s a huge testimonial, knowing that their food is most likely going to be better hot than cold. I loved my calzone but wasn’t a big fan of the cheesy bread. Very standard cheese on just average bread, but my wife loved its simplicity. My wife wasn’t the biggest fan of her calzone, but she still enjoyed it and didn’t regret it. Everything was packaged nicely and all employees had face masks on. We usually eat very healthy and only allow ourselves one “indulgent” meal a week maximum and we did not regret choosing D.P. Dough. I would recommend this establishment to locals who would like a calzone that doesn’t hurt the wallet.

Did a pick up order from this place as we were in the mood for pizza and wings. This place came up as a search result. The phone order was simple and I was able to make minor tweaks to the menu items to customize the calzones to our liking. The calzones were good, lots of crust around the edges but I personally like that. We also ordered a side of wings and I can tell you I will not be doing that again. The meat on the wings was mushy and there was lots of fat. The outside was also very wet and very breaded. I had the garlic Chipotle sauce and I would not get it again. Can't speak to the atmosphere aside from what I saw when walking in and it is just a plain strip mall restaurant.

Great calzones at a reasonable price, I come here at least once a week to grab an order for myself and the people at my office. All the normal calzones are great, and even workers with dairy sensitivity or other dietary requirements sing the praises of their vegan calzone options.

Even the more unusual ingredients have some great options, one friend swore by the spicy scramble (scrambled eggs, bacon, jalapeños, and hot sauce!), and we've also enjoyed their Philly cheese steak, breaded chicken, and even putting Mac and cheese in a calzone! Their Hook It Up seasoning option feels decadent, just the right amount of salt, butter, and whatever else goes into it - a strong temptation for many of us who value taste over healthy life choices. Even those who don't want a full lunch, or are eating something else, are often tempted by eating a few tasty Pepperoni Rolls (or I sometimes order them just to have an entire order as a meal!)

There are a few misses, like their Stoner Zone the one time we tried it didn't seem cooked all the way through, or their ham topping which recently changed to a different provider with a much stronger flavor, but those are just minor things in the grand scheme of all the options available.

Now, I have sung their praises... their menu has almost everything we could want, at good prices, prepared quickly, at convenient hours... but be warned. Unfortunately, the quality control on orders is a little spotty. It seems to vary by day/staff, and -usually- they're quite good, but on occasion we have placed orders where we pay for extra toppings or make a special request in the order/substitution (X side sauce instead of Y, or excluding Z ingredient) and that isn't honored - we just pay extra and get the baseline 'Zone. Generally, we just go 'oh well, it's just 86 cents, C'est la Vie', but I know missing an ingredient or substitution can be a very big deal for some people. So, if you absolutely, positively need an alteration to a baseline menu option, like say you love everything about a calzone and just need to substitute the cheese for vegan cheese... you may want to be safe and call it in to make it very clear instead of using the online ordering form.

I'll try to keep an eye out. If I go for a while without noticing this happen, I'll update my review. That really is the only issue I've had with this location in...

D. P. Dough is such a great, DIFFERENT alternative to the fast food options we have here. Whenever I am sick of burgers and chicken, I remember D. P. Dough. The Mac Daddy is my favorite!! They deliver as well and that makes it great for single people who don't want to order full size pizzas and it's even better that you don't have to use one of those other delivery services and pay $7-$8 more for the privilege. The calzones are really good size and I LOVE their marinara!

Edit: Wow, the quality here has really gone downhill. My last 6 orders all had issues. Every time, the filling in the calzone was severely reduced (like almost non-existent) or they didn't "hook it up" like I PAID FOR!! OR they undercooked it and I was eating raw dough which I thought was cheese!! And they no longer deliver using their employees-they use a service for that which means....... HIGHER COST TO THE CUSTOMER!! You get to pay a higher cost for your calzone AND a delivery fee to boot. But, wait, that's not all folks The delivery service messed up might order by giving the restaurant a wrong address. It was still showing correct online but when they transmitted the order to the restaurant, they changed my address. And what did the restaurant do?? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They did not call me after they tried to deliver to the wrong address, to find out what the correct address was seeing it as how I had already paid online. No, they just left it sitting on their counter and waited for me to call an hour later asking where my order was. When they delivered the order I could see on the receipt order that they received from the online service that the delivery address was wrong so that is on the delivery service. But everything after that was on the restaurant. As a result of this horrible experience plus everything else I have not been back to this restaurant or any DP...

Love love love the calzones here. Had to drop my original review down because tonight (12/14) is the third time an order has been messed up. The first two times it was a mistake in soda flavor or missing a soda. Tonight our whole order got lost and the gentleman manning the phone was so very unhelpful. I've worked in food and totally understand that mistakes happen and things get lost, but I was offered no solutions. When I first called (20 minutes after our food was to be delivered, more than an hour after ordering), he told me the driver indicated our food was delivered, but it was not here. He said he'd have to wait for the driver to get back to confirm what happened to the food and had not eta on when that would be and told me to call back. I asked if we could just get a refund or if they could start remaking the food and I could drive in and pick it up and just he insisted that he needed to confirm with the driver and I'd have to call back later. I called back 10 minutes later and he still had no idea where the driver was, where our food was and I had to push for a refund (at this point it was more than an hour past ordering and we were all so hungry). He said it'd take a few days for the refund (which is fine) but then just hung up. 30 MINUTES LATER.... we received the food! It was ice cold. So clearly there was no communication amongst their team either.

Again, Ive worked in food... I understand being stressed, busy and behind. But there's a better way to handle...
