My last visit with this company has been roughly a month or so ago due to dealing with issues resulting from my last predicate. Before I get into the details of the pedicure, I would like to say that Jolene and Sue are amazing! Jolene did my dip powder, and Sue did my daughter’s pedicure. Regarding my last visit: I unfortunately will never be returning to this place because at my last visit, who I assume to be the salon manager was not very pleasant. I went in to get dip powder and a pedicure for myself and a pedi for my young daughter. There was already a customer and her child utilizing the chair they have dedicated for smaller children and the chair next to it and I was asked if I would like to sit separately from my child and I replied no and I would wait. I had no problem waiting; however, while I was waiting I kept being asked to sit in different chairs and moved around first being told that my nails would be started first, then moved to another chair, then when my dip powder was soaked off l, I was asked to move again to the pedicure chairs I was waiting for. This was a bit annoying even to another customer who said something to me about being moved around so much and said there was too much going on. Once my daughter and I got into the pedicure chairs, I was greeted by the nail tech and asked which pedicure I wanted and I selected the $65 option. I specifically told her that I had acrylic on both big toes but I didn’t want it to be refilled and she could either file it or soak it off (didn’t matter to me); nonetheless, as she continued to perform the pedicure she ended up refilling the acrylic despite me asking her not to. I did not make a big deal about it nor did I mind paying for it… as the pedicure progressed along not even half way into it, another customer came in with a young child and at this point the person I assume to be the salon manager continued to come over to the nail tech doing my pedicure and speaking another language (I cannot say for sure what was being said) but it was obvious she was attempting to rush her through my pedicure (as this customer with the young child asked to also wait for the one children’s pedicure chair my daughter was using). I found this to be a bit ridiculous, as the customer I waited for to finish before being able to use the chair before me was not rushed. In fact, I probably waited at least 30+ minutes (again I did not mind waiting). So if that’s the case, why was I being rushed especially when I selected the $65 pedicure option that include a massage plus more. I ended up finishing up and it was clear that others who worked there noticed what I experienced because the person ringing me up apologized for what I experienced (I did not get her name but she is a younger girl with black and blonde hair). To add insult to injury, this place really needs to be mindful of bacteria and not being so quick to rush people because I ended up getting a severe infection in my left big toe nail following this visit that I have yet to fully heal from. I will spare everyone the visuals because it looks very disgusting; however, I am more than happy to share them at the request of this company. I have had to deal with so much with my toe because of this company that I have never had to deal with in my many years of getting pedicures. From an antibiotic that did not work all the way to having to have my podiatrist remove a chunk of my toe nail so that the infection could begin to heal. I will never be back despite how good some of the staff has been to me. I cannot see myself spending another dime in a place that has done this to me and I share this for others to proceed with caution and for this company to learn something and make the necessary adjustments to do better and I hope and pray this never happens to anyone else that chooses...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place due to all the raving reviews and it being Veteran owned. Unfortunately, I had a TERRIBLE experience here. I made an appointment for 3:45pm and did not leave until 7:20pm last night for a pedicure and full set. Mike was my nail tech. He was nice, made alot of jokes and asked me about my comfort levels. Everything started off great. I brought over 3 colors and we picked the one I liked the most. When he was done with my pedicure I noticed my big toe was a little messed up and asked him to fix it. He agreed to do so after my nails were done. I asked for a recommendation on whether to do gel or dip because this was my FIRST time getting acrylic. He brought over the dip colors which none matched my feet. He said if I wanted my nails to match then to do gel so I went with that. Color, shape and gel... we're on the same page. The owner was doing nails next to him and even offered a suggestion of getting the nails a bit shorter. I went with that. When he went to file my nails he was extremely rough. I asked him if he was okay because of how rough he was being while he was filing my nails and again he joked but I was serious. He replied that he wasn't being rough. Keep in mind when he was asking about my comfort level prior he mentioned he had complaints before about his pressure being to hard which is why he kept asking. If I'm being honest his pressure was hard however I wasn't uncomfortable until we got to my nails. Instead of listening to my concerns Mike continued being aggressive with my hands. Now I'm sitting here just dreading this experience and ready for it to be over. While he's filing he's also smashing the sides of my fingers for whatever reason. He finishes and while he's fixing my toe (which he didn't fix) I'm looking at my nails and see that majority of the sides and tips don't even have nail polish, the nails look bulky, and overall looks good afar but not close up. I'm ready to go and just want to pay but I did mention it to the front staff. The owner insisted she can fix it for me. Although I apprecate her for wanting to do this I should have just left. Being in a nail salon for 4 hours was not on my things to do list. Not to mention how this then become my fault for "not knowing what I wanted" or " changing colors" all of which didn't occur but okay. Mike walks past and BUMPS my chair, doesn't offer an apology and he gives her the wrong color. So now my hands HURT BADLY, I have 2 separate colors on my hands and feet and I just wasted $100. I have no intentions on driving 35...
Read moreMaaan, I really wanted to love this place. The first time I came in I went to Jasmine and it was a great experience. Unfortunately after that my schedule didn’t line up with hers so I went with any other available techs. Things were going great until the last 2 times I came in for a fill. I had 2 lifted nails on my right hand and the last 2 techs doing my nails didn’t cut the nails back to where they were lifted before applying new acrylic. They just plopped acrylic right on top. This has left me with BAD fungus/mold on my natural nail and they are paper thin. The 2 nails that had previously lifted actually just fell off and I am SHOOK at what has been brewing under there for the last couple months. I’ve been getting my nails done for years and this has never happened. Everyone has always trimmed the acrylic back a little when doing fills - even if they weren’t lifted. And when lifted they usually took a significant portion of the nail off and then refilled it. I thought that was standard practice so I was a little taken back when the last 2 techs didn’t do it. Not only are my nails moldy but they also cut deeply into my nail bed with the file causing a “ring of fire”. This is just bad technique. Laziness. Burnt out. Not caring about quality and just trying to spit out clients as fast as possible to get the day over with. Now I’m going to have to get them removed and let them heal for months before I’m able to get them done again. I’m absolutely devastated. If I ever do return I’ll make sure to only see Jasmine. I know there’s good nail techs there, I just got the mf shaft the last 2 times. Note to manager: Make sure you stress the importance of cutting the acrylic back during fills to eliminate any possible water damage. Make sure you stress the importance of everyone using the electric file at the proper angle so they don’t cause damage to the natural nail. Make sure they are filing out the backs of the nails to keep them short so they don’t get too long and lift on the sides creating space for water damage.
This kind of damage is...
