I am sorry as I have been to this place twice and I want to like it as I want all sports card stores to succeed but it is obvious to me they have no desire to succeed... believe all the reviews you see about over priced boxes..... $129.99 for a Series 2 Topps MLB box is ROBBERY! Every other store I called are at $89.99-$94.99. You are pricing yourself out of the market and its insane as we just want you to succeed! Rethink this and remember the hobby is supposed to be for the next generation. How can you expect kids to buy hobby boxes when you are $40 over everyone else in the market?
Again I was quoted $129.99 over the phone for the Hobby box. If I am going to drive my car 20 minutes I am going to call first in a very nice polite manner and just ask what the price is. I was told twice $129.99 as when they said that I said "You said $129.99 right?" so if you are now at $119.99 that's great but still $30 over what it cost on Topps website and it is in stock there. Every other store I have called in California has been at $99.99 or $104.99. I don't mind paying a premium to get it same day but to charge $30 for that convivence is pure greed. You could purchase these boxes from Topps at $89.99 sell them even for $109.99 and still make profit but everyone knows you're getting them at wholesale so this isn't even the case. This is bad business but judging from past reviews they...
Read moreThe staff and selection here is great. I wish I had more time to browse because I doubt I even saw a quarter of what they had to offer. My absolute only gripe is the prices. They are far beyond what I experience just about anywhere else. For example, they sell their 2025 baseball Bowman Mega box for $100. Last week GameStop had them in stock for $49.99 and my LCS in the Palm Springs area had them for $65. The prices were spiked for almost all of the other sealed product I looked at too. I understand marking up for the enormous selection and convenience of walking in and out, but I’ve never seen sealed products cast this much. Maybe they have a huge overhead, I really don’t know. Anyways, if you’re looking for something specific, they probably have it. You WILL pay a premium for it though. Overall, I would go back for specific things I can’t find elsewhere and the customer service provided. Other than that, I’ll probably look elsewhere first. Thank you for the great customer service...
Read moreCourtney's Sports Cards offers an extensive selection of sports cards for baseball, basketball, football, and more, catering to sports collectors' interests hence the name. However, the store falls short in its collection of other trading card games, with Pokemon being the main one missing. While the store carries common sets, they are readily available in other trading card stores. Regrettably, the prices of Pokemon cards are notably higher than MSRP, with booster packs being sold for $8, compared to the standard $4. The store's selection of Pokemon cards is also limited. Nonetheless, it is important to note that this store primarily serves sports collectors, so it may not be the optimal choice for Pokemon card collectors. If you are looking for a sports card store, Courtney's Sports Cards may be worth a visit. However, if you collect Pokemon cards, you may want to look elsewhere for better prices and a...
