Grand Terrace Dog Park — Attraction in Grand Terrace

My boyfriend and I drove 20 minutes to take our puppy to this dog park just for it to be locked and closed!! We are so upset. Gas isn't cheap anymore! Plus google said it was open since 7am and closed on Wednesday's and rainy days but it's 74 degrees sunny outside on a Friday at 1:30 in the afternoon, plus there wasn't even a notice on the gate to why the park wasn't open, not to include the park wasn't under construction or cleaning etc.(because we looked for that as-well) It was in top shape! Smh. Do not recommend this park. Even though it does look well maintained it is small and it isn't guaranteed you will have access to the park if you take your time drive your fur-babies there. Please be more accurate with the times and hold whoever's job it is to open the park at the stated time...

I bring my dog to the large breed area. The large breed dogs are approachable and non aggressive. There are a few dogs who aren’t too social but with time, I noticed they start coming around and be playful with others.

The dog owners are responsible and friendly. I’ve only seen one or two dog owners who don’t pay attention or intervene when their dog is playing too rough or are a little too rowdy. For the most part, the dog owners here know when to redirect their dogs when they do get a little too rowdy.

Overall the park is clean and well kept. The highest activity of dogs is usually around 4pm on a weekday.
