Scheduled my appointment weeks in advance and had to request off work to make this happen. Was quoted $160 for the installation of my dash cam. Everything for the DashCam was provided including a hardwire kit. I bought this specific DashCam for the 24-parking mode option, which requires it to be hardwired in. 4 hours later, on what was supposed to be a 2 hour job, and the DashCam wasn’t even hardwired in. The kit that I provided was opened and the box for the kit was missing, but the wires from the kit were left in my box that the dash-cam came in. I was told all the items left in the box was “extra stuff that he did not need to use” (or was just accessory type items such as extra adhesive and lens cleaning cloths). I didn’t look in the box till after ofc, and there lay the hardwire kit contents. After doing some more research, it looks like he needs a fuse connector to complete the install, but never mentioned this to me, as I would have paid for any extra wire he would have provided. There’s no way he did not have that connector considering that is an AUDIO shop. Seems to me, he just did not want to deal with it and failed to say anything to me to get me out of there. ANYONE CAN STICK TWO CAMERAS TO A WINDSHIELD AND TUCK IN SOME WIRES! I tried calling multiple times to see if they could at least hardwire it in so I could get my moneys worth or even just half my money back, but the phone will not even ring. Ofc they are closed on my off days and closed by the time I depart from work so this has just been a big waste of money and time. Went here based off a recommendation. Glad someone had a decent experience. Next time, I’ll go somewhere professional that has a...
Read moreWent to Phat Boy for an Ignition Interlock Device removal. They charged me $200 upfront. Part of this charge was because they sent a guy to my house instead of towing the car to them, which sounded nice at the moment. They never removed the device though, they only cut a couple wires so that the car would start. The employee even asked the owner multiple times, in front of me, "what do I do?". I went in the next day to ask for a refund & was refused because the owner told me he had the device in his office ready to ship to intoxalock. Yes, the same device that was NEVER removed from my car. On top of that, intoxalock informed me they could charge me for property damage due to what the employee did. After all of this, I decided to count my loss & go to Wells Paint & Tint to have the device removed. The man at Wells told me that he's constantly fixing IID's that Phat Boy screwed up. It's a wonder Phat boy is still in business. The whole staff is a bunch of cocky, clueless teenagers/young adults minus the owner, who's clearly a lying scammer over an honest businessman. And don't even try calling, they never answer the phone.
If you're an IID user, don't even bother with this place! I highly recommend Wells Paint & Tint. I was charged $75 for removal & they had my car ready in 20 minutes. No damages & I wasn't lied to a...
Read moreFirst mistake, I paid cash in advance. After 2 years of waiting and going back and forth the build is finally completed. They broke multiple parts on my truck that I have to fix not to mention the countless things they forgot to connect back before "throwing" everything back together. They had multiple items stolen from my building and others during this 2 year wait. Excuse after excuse is all you get and don't even try to call, they will not answer. There hours are crazy and their knowledge is limited. They did make things right in the end and it does sound amazing, (voltage drops due to them not installing a part for the alternator) but like I said it took 2 years to do a basic install. I did not have them build some huge wall or extensive power bank. Just a simple 4 sub install with box built, door speaker replacement a second battery, new h/o alternator and amps. Something you could do in a week easy took 2 years and countless finger pointing and lies. Just save your time, money and frustration and go...
