Maury County Public Library — Attraction in Columbia

I visited the Maury County Public Library because the library closest to me was closed. I was able to get a guest pass to access the computers. However, I was a bit disappointed in the staffing. There were a handful of staff members there. However, there was only one who was approachable, kind, and helped me with what I needed. It was a gentleman with long hair. The rest of the staff were extremely unapproachable and rude when I needed assistance or had a question. I am thankful I was able to get what I needed done, but I won't be back due to the staffing. The interior may be a bit dated (though there is an upgrade on the horizon) don’t let that fool you. This little library packs a punch, especially in the children’s section downstairs. While there may not be an exhaustive selection of fiction and nonfiction books on hand, so far they have purchased every book I requested. There are always groups available to join like chess and Lego clubs as well as workshops and resources to help with all manner of things like taxes and job hunting.

I received a text message that my books were due the next day. I didn't worry about it because they were already in the drop box. Two days later now I have an email saying they are a day overdue. I've been calling for 20 minutes and no one is answering the phones either at the front desk or in the children's department. My books are not overdue and my calls are being ignored.
