The Mulehouse — Attraction in Columbia

It's a pretty venue. Has lots of potential. However owners are cheap and don't provide adequate security. We live in a day and age of active shooters and this venue sets up its guests to be fish in a barrel with all exits only in the front (except 1 small exit in back behind stage). Only security is 1 unarmed guy who wands you so a law abiding citizens can't practice their 2a. Even off duty commissioned officers aren't allowed to come in armed. Unless they change their policies, we won't ever be going back. If you value your safety, you shouldn't either. When they charge $10 for bottle water, they can afford to hire an off duty officer or adequate security for a few hours. This same scenario we see over and over again all across the country, a place that doesn't allow civies to protect themselves, and yet doesnt provide adequate security. Stop. Being. Cheap. We recently had the pleasure of hosting our 30th High School Reunion at the Mulehouse, and it was an absolute blast! The venue exceeded our expectations, providing the perfect setting for our celebration.

We kicked off the festivities with a lively mixer in the Dawson Room, followed by an electrifying concert upstairs. The Mulehouse's aesthetic is simply gorgeous, and it provided the ideal backdrop for our event.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, we felt warmly welcomed and cared for. Tracy and Amy, who managed the event, were exceptionally professional and ensured that every detail was taken care of.

We found the pricing to be quite reasonable, considering the fantastic experience we had.

The Mulehouse delivers! Our recent film production called for a modern yet classy venue that had an iconic look. Separate from the 'on screen' production value, this venue also helped deliver on our production needs behind the scenes. Tracy made sure every detail from staging, lighting & audio was 'as called for' contributing to a successful end result in filming. And grateful that their team; led by Blair, spent the necessary time developing this space to meet current production needs from day one. They thought of it all before our team had too.
