So we went to Amvets today 9/3 for Mean Mugs Wings. Wasnt the first time we've been in for wings. But we seen some friends and decided to sit at the bar with them and had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH CARLA. She was flat out rude and down right disrespectful. Very disappointing. She also made it seem as if we weren't welcome or allowed in since we weren't members. My father, grandfather, and uncle were service members and we were going to join this evening until we had the interaction we experienced with Carla. If thats how their bartenders/barmaids are allowed to treat customers then I choose not to join and will spend my money elsewhere. For now, my joining is definitely on hold. I heard numerous members discussing how horrible Carlas behavior and treatment of customers has been post her surgery. If working is too much on her she shouldn't be there. I do hope management resolves the issues with her. Although I heard from another member her bestfriend is someone named Crystal who's in charge, so theres the chance that nothing may happen and her rude behavior may continue on.

But the perks of the night were Mean Mugs Wings were awesome...

Kinda disappointed. Had better welcomes at Wal-mart. Signed up and was told to show my DD214 at meeting. Did so and was treated like I interrupted the meeting more then was welcomed to join. Dive Bar is OK. Dark and mostly one arm bandits and cold beer. I'm 60 and felt like the youngest person there. Food and bartender was pretty nice. Not sure I'll ever go...

I spent my money to join and went to a meeting to be voted in. I have never felt so alienated in my life ! Only two people welcomed me ! I’ll never return and will go back to the VFW !
