La Michoacana Market — Local services in Columbus

Moved close to this store close to a year ago and decided to stop in and see what all they have as although I'm the typical white girl, I have Hispanic extended family and have been taught to make some dishes that require ingredients not sold at the regular stores. Employees are very nice and so very helpful. I was helped with several things and got such wonderful customer service above and beyond a typical grocery store. One of the things I bought was some laundry detergent. There was 2 workers in that area who approached me to help. I mentioned I do work laundry and was looking for some good but not expensive detergent as the pods we were currently using have been bursting in the horrible heat and we keep it in our work truck. And I don't want to do liquid due to it freezing and they had a good selection of powdered in huge bags. Both gentlemen were so helpful. They showed me good but pricey, cheap but not so good and good and decent priced . I asked about one someone mentioned to me, it happened to be a decent price and they said it was really good. They even loaded it in my cart for me! I definitely recommend this place. Their meat selection in the meat department is huge! Produce area is nice and everything fresh. I like this place.... However the staff at the meat counter really need to be more accommodating to its new customers that may request food items be cut into smaller portions WITHOUT being told an OUT RIGHT NO or BUY MORE POUNDS or FOR $1 . "I asked for lime & hot sauce for my fried bacon as I'm accustomed in S. FL my whole life!" The guy rudely told me " No! We don't do it that way! " After 2 times with his attitude .... I no longer visit there ... Prices are great the other staff are amazing and it's always so clean.... But he makes it difficult to leave my money there. One spoiled apple spoiled the whole bunch. I shopped there for my mom in Dayton, but...

I will never go to this La Michoacana Market again .I had heard it was delicious food but I didn't even get served I stood at the counter for approximately 9 minutes for the 1 of the 4 ladies to even take my order. They kept walking around even after I said HELLO may I get service please. They all 4 looked at me and kept on doing what they was doing..and even in the dining area those guest was getting services ..so yeah if I could give this place no...
