I have resigned myself to the fact that every shopping center on every corner in Calufornia is going to have the same 5 franchise businesses: a super 8, a grocery store managed under umbrella of safeway, a rite-aid or walgreens (whats the difference?), a McDonald's (in case you wanted yet another generic burger for the 1000th time), and a mom and pop mexican restaurant with good horchata and bottled beer. This center is no exception. Being Guerneville, an upscale town in wine country, the grocery store actually carries seabass and the shoe store sells shoes that will last many years. But why, why couldn't a town as wealthy as Guerneville design this center with a little more flair? Are these cities all required to hire the same boring architect or are they in a competition to see who can build the most forgettable shopping center? Note, the parking is tight if you own a truck and Mary's pizza closed this location for good during the pandemic. And to the Google Maps moderators: yes, there is handicapped parking.
