Visited August 29 2025..see my receipt as always. I was craving Mexican food and I found this great restaurant in Colusa ( Off Fremont Street). I got there right when they opened (11 am) and was greeted by a friendly and sweet lady ( Elizabeth). I was given complimentary chips and salsa ( love the habanero along with regular salsa). I got the lunch special that came with an enchilada and tamale (#3) along with rice and beans. WOW,,,UNDER 13 BUCKS! The tamale was my favorite with alot of flavor and the rest of the dish was super delicious as well! It's nice to be able to sit down in the restaurant and relax with air conditioning! They also have a large selection of beer ( wine also is available). Take out also available. Its a very clean restaurant with plenty of parking. Restroom was spotless. I would normally spend 20 bucks elsewhere for the same dish! This dish had alot of flavor and good seasoning! It is wallet friendly and I plan on coming here again soon for some really good Mexican food! Thank you Elizabeth for superior service and I appreciate the kindness and care given in this restaurant!

We stopped here when we were driving through. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant! The food was so good, and everything was spotlessly cleaned. I went to the bathroom and it was the cleanest restaurant bathroom I have ever been in, not a speck of dust. The tortillas were home made and the husband and wife who own and run the place both came by and made sure our food was good. We will make this our new stop when we drive through town.

Nice people and service... found the piece of plastic shown in the picture sitting on top of my beans... great food if you like store bought food and don't like any flavor... everything from the pre-grated cheddar cheese to the tortillas... worse part were the refried beans ... even most canned beans have some flavor not these. Even the taco shells.... 🌮 😢 Very disappointed 😪

Stopped by this spot on a day trip with my family from Sacramento. The menu seemed a bit pricey to me ($15 for a burrito), but I'm biased coming from a town filled with lots of options for pretty good, cheap Mexican food. I'm used to enormous $9 burritos. But the food was tasty here, and served up fast, at Don Habanero.

My husband and I split the burrito carnitas. It came on a 12 inch tortilla and was filled with Mexican rice, refried beans and carnitas. On top was their "burrito sauce" some shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, green onions and sour cream. It was filling enough to share.

Overall, nothing to rave about, but...

My Fiancé and I always order to go from here and every time we are warmly greeted and they always give our son a coloring menu even though we are not staying to dine in. They also always ask if we want anything to drink while we wait. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming and the service is one of the best and friendliest staffs I have ever encountered at a restaurant plus the food is FANTASTIC!!! And if you want to make something spicy they will most definitely do so and spicy truely means spicy! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone that wants the best mexican...
