Employees are really friendly and helpful highly recommend this Ace Hardware. This may be hard to believe but I have been shopping at that store since I was 7 years old bought a flashlight for my dad's birthday I was reading some of the other people's reviews I hope that's the word anyway I am 68 years old now still shopping there someone made a comment it is cheaper to buy stuff somewhere else I won't mention the name of the place yes their price is sometimes or a little higher but by the time you drive all the way out there to that other place you spent more time and more gas plus to note they give rewards for when you purchase something so that you get some things cheaper are using their coupons Andre Ward's I would like to add one more thing though handicap accessibility there is pretty good but I would like to suggest to the management people who are on oxygen there oxygen tanks run out of oxygen pretty fast if it's at all possible when you see somebody with oxygen that you could sort of move them to the head of the line or help them so that they could get out of there quicker I know it doesn't seem fair to the other customers but it's The Godly thing to do everybody's time is worth something but when it comes down to breathing your time is very limited would you please consider this that you open up another register real quick or explain to the employees and to the other people in line that this is the right thing to do it's just a suggestion God bless everyone that understands this thank you for at least considering what I'm asking it's a wonderful Story the people are extremely nice and helpful and friendly and you can find almost anything you need in that store I've been to other Ace Hardware's the one here in Commerce City I find to be...
Read moreThey need to train their staff on how to issue Colorado Park entrance passes if they are going to continue to offer them. I had the absolute WORST customer experience when I popped in there last week to buy a pass. After keeping me waiting while they searched for someone who supposedly knew how to issue the pass (hint: she did not), the worker began fumbling through the process on the screen. No kidding, these were some of the questions I was asked:
"Is your first name Maureen?" (This said while she was holding my driver's license in her hand.)
What do I put for your hair color?
Are you eyes blue?
I finally asked what the heck any of this info had to do with me buying a simple, annual parks pass and she said the state required all that info. I suggested maybe she was incorrectly looking at the application for a hunting/fishing license, but she said that wasn't the case.
The end of the transaction happened when she said she needed my social security number. I refused, saying I would not give that info out when it clearly wasn't warranted for such a simple transaction. I knew she was in the wrong and I probably should have asked to speak to a manager, but I was just done dealing with the lack of common sense, so I left.
Followup: when I got home, I looked up the application on the CO Parks website and sure enough, it said to skip the ID section and it's accompanying questions if one only wanted...
Read moreI usually only go to Ace when I need advice on how to do something. There's usually older guys that work there, that have retired from working in some type of maintenance or building type jobs. And they always had great advice and were willing to help. This Ace had a bunch of younger girls and a couple of guys working, but I only saw one male employee on the other side of the store and the girls were up at the register. I needed help figuring out which parts I needed to install a swamp cooler water line, and ran into an elderly black couple who were more than happy to help and another male customer walking by offered help and advice too. When I went back to the parts area, the second guy found me again and helped me find all the parts. So even tho I didn't get any staff to help me, the other customers in the store did. That's why I only gave them three stars.. this store is a wee bit over-priced, but they typically have what you need (and a super fun little "goody" section with off the wall toys/goodies!) Oh! And they had a good supply of hand sanitizer...
