This place is wonderful. Though I must say, if you're thinking of buying anything, Google it first because you could be buying something for twice the price at a retail store. This happens when you combine antiques with retail designer stuff. For example, there was a huge Tree of Life wall display in o e of the booths, I looked at it to see the price and it was being sold for 83 dollars. But because it's an item you can buy from a retail store "in this case Hobby Lobby" Hobby Lobby sells the exact same thing for 39 dollars because it's at a 50% off. This is NOT the Mills fault, but it is the fault of the person who is renting the booth within the Mill, thus it can make the Mill look bad for having overpriced things. All I'm saying is pay close attention to what you buy. As a long time antiquer I see this allot the past few yrs and its something that I believe is brought on by not separating -real- antiques from everyday retail or designer things. These things should be separated by a clear sign so customers know exactly what they are looking at. Other than this the place has a wonderful inviting feeling, the people are nice there but can be a bit snippy when you mention stuff like this to them. My advice, dont be snippy, listen to your customers feedback, take suggestions, and be kind and understanding of some of your customers concerns. Happy customers = happy business. Being snippy gets you nowhere and only gets you a bad review. Especially when you tell your customer in a snippy tone "then go get your item at Hobby Lobby then" Instead of this answer you could have suggested calling the owner and possibly making a deal for a cheaper price, thus making the customer happy, the seller happy and the business happy. But no, you lost that sale, thus losing the sale for your renter. A lesson to be learned here. But do NOT let this sway anyone from going here, I still highly suggest this place, the staff was very charming and would always greet us when they walk by. The place is clean and can even be beautiful at times. One corner did have an aroma of cat pee, but only one lot in the Knitt section. The rest of the place is just...a treat. :-) Check this place out...
Read moreThe Gibson Mill arts & crafts is awesome with many rooms of decor; however, they are marked extremely expensive as this company also takes a percentage of your sales If you rent a booth.
Note: you would not believe what the company is doing to the Gibson Mill Market. The owner of the overall company is allowing their family members to âcleanâ the space and charging the Food businesses a $1300 fee a month for cleaning per business.
Note: The owner, is charging the businesses 15% of all sales.
Note: Visited this location, Sunday, November 2, 2025 and it was like a ghost town. There was only one table that had a family of four sitting at it, and one gentleman getting a coffee at the coffee bar!
As I spoke to an owner, so curious as many businesses in had closed down, I understand for a total that I added up it would cost $8000 a month of a business owner to pay to have your restaurant or business, ice cream bar, coffee, shop, etc. in this building and you are under contract and cannot get out of contract for three years or there are highly consequences in the contract of what they can levy on as far as your property.
Walked inside of Gibson Mill eating at the deli bar and it was not even good! $36.00 later for 2 people. The sourdough chicken salad sandwich was all bread hardly no chicken salad. The bread was not soft and it just was not good at all!!! Iâm not coming back to this place.
To business owners and to get the word out there, this makes me NOT want to shop here any longer! To think this is how they are treating their business owners that are trying to make a business for themselves and for...

A dozen adult family members from across the Charlotte and Concord areas gathered at The Mill to celebrate two family birthdays. We all ordered food and drinks from the vendors, and the experience started off well.
In place of birthday cake, the two birthday girls had requested homemade lemon bars. We placed them on the table alongside the food and beverages we purchased from the vendors.
While we were still enjoying our meal, a representative from The Mill approached our table and informed us that âoutside foodâ was not allowed and we had to either remove the dish or leave.
We understand and respect general policies regarding outside food, but this situation called for some discretion and basic courtesy. The lemon bars were clearly not a competing itemâthey were a personal, celebratory gesture. The birthday girls were disappointed, and the family member who made the lemon bars was embarrassed and hurt. Passing out Lemon Bars in 100° heat in the parking lot is just not the same.
This action came across as inflexible, uninformed, and inconsiderate. It reflected very poorly on the management.
Although our food and service was great, none of us plan to return.
And.... When I sent this same story to them, here is their...
