We really enjoyed our stay with KORV Remtals. We asked for an adjustment to the bed in the back area and they came out first thing in the morning to fix it for us. The camper was clean and well stocked with all the essentials. We donât use many of them as we donât usually cook. But they had pots and pans, dishs and bowls, coffee mugs, coffee maker, utensils and other essentials like a blender and toaster. The reclining seats were comfortable and the faux fireplace was a nice bonus. We had enough towels and blankets and pillows for the three of us.
As a first time camper, when we arrived, we couldnât figure out how to turn off some of the lights. Now this may seem stupid but we tried all the switches and the control panel. Nothing worked. We called and of course it was now after hours at KORV. They called back within the hour to explain that the lights were push button. The center of the light has a button you push. Well that isnât easily seen when the light is on. Knowing this made it easier to turn off the lights but there were several lights turned on in the unit that were not in areas easily accessible. The single loft bunk and lights above the queen bunk were a couple examples. Thank goodness my Mother had her cane with her and we were able to push the button with the cane. I suggested to KORV that they leave these lights off - especially the loft light that didnât even have a ladder provided to reach it.
Also as a first time camper I had no idea how to really empty the black tank. I wasnât sure I was doing it right. When I did it the screen didnât seem to update much. It would be very helpful if KORV would simply post some instructions inside the unit on how to take care of this for its various camper models. Doing it once and laminating it would be all that was needed to ensure a smooth operation from the renter. I canât be the only one who has never done this before. Frankly next time I would still be apprehensive about doing it without instructions.
The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were small but what do you expect in a camper? We thought the camper appeared well maintained.
If you need electronics in a specific area, you need to bring extension cords because the campers donât have outlets all over. We had a couple medical devices with us and were glad we had brought extra cords with us.
We also rented a cart. It ran well and looked nice. It would have been nicer if it had a cover over the back passenger but you canât have everything.
We brought a pet and their pet fee was reasonable and not outrageous like Disneyâs. They brought the camper into the Fort, set it up and then took it away when we were done. We use to stay in the cabins but this was a much better situation for us. Overall, I feel that they are a good company and I already tried to book again but they donât have any available space which is...
Read moreWe rented 378BH several days before our trip, and overall, it was a good experience with a few notable exceptions. The camper was delivered on time and ready for us, and check-in was seamless, which we appreciated. Upon arrival, the camper appeared clean, but we soon discovered that it had only been swept, not mopped. Since we had an infant with us, anything that touched the floor quickly became dirty, which was frustrating. Itâs worth mentioning that the $149 "full prep" fee didnât seem to cover a thorough cleaning, which was disappointing.
The camper itself was in good condition overall, but we encountered a few maintenance issues. The second couch in the back had a large tear, and while the main couch looked fine, it was surprisingly uncomfortable, possibly due to worn-out springs or because it's a pull-out bed. The recliner was also broken, and when we spoke to the repair technician, we learned that it was a known issue with the mechanism, which apparently needed replacing. This was one of the features we were looking forward to, so it was disappointing to find it unusable.
We also ran into a communication issue regarding the BBQ and supplies, which were mentioned in the welcome email but no longer provided. It would have been helpful to know this in advance, as we didnât bring our own BBQ utensils. Additionally, we werenât informed about the broken recliner when we made the reservation, which would have been nice to know ahead of time, as it was one of the reasons we chose that model.
On top of that, the sewer to the front bathroom was broken when the camper was set up, causing water to pool in the living room on the first night. After trying to reach out for help, we went to bed, and the issue persisted the next morning. It turned out the water was coming from the front bathroom drain. Fortunately, the team sent someone to fix the grey water issue by late morning. This is when we learned the broken latches on the cargo doors were a persistent problem. We were told this was just how things were now, which was a bit frustrating.
Despite these issues, the camper itself was sturdy and didnât rock when walking around, which made for a comfortable stay overall. Checkout was as easy as check-in, and we didnât encounter any more issues during the rest of our stay.
In conclusion, the camper was a great choice for our trip, and we would consider renting it again if the known issues were addressed. However, we feel that the $328 in feesâbetween the Disney delivery and full prepâwere excessive, given the maintenance issues and the lack of thorough cleaning. We were not offered a discount or refund for the inconveniences, which was disappointing. At least there were cleaning supplies available in the camper, allowing us to address the...
Read moreWe purchased a Class A motorhome that was consigned through the services of Kissimmee Orlando RV Rental. As many already understand, purchasing an RV is a tough proposition as it is a high dollar purchase and you want to make sure that you cross your "t's" and dot your "i's" to ensure you do everything right. I want to share my experience with Kissimmee Orlando RV Rental:
My initial contact with Kissimmee Orlando RV Rental was with the Owner. His name is Antonio. I mentioned to him that I had saw the listing for an RV he had on consigment. I asked many questions about it and communicated to Antonio that I was brand new to Class A's and that this would be a learning experience as well.
Prior to finding Antonio's listing, I had visited and shopped around several RV dealerships. If you've ever done so, you know the pressures and sales gimmicks thrown at you during the process. But when I spoke to Antonio, there was none of that. His demeanor is such that I felt he wasn't trying to sell me an RV at any cost, but rather to make sure I felt comfortable in the RV and to take the time to decide if it was right for me. He took his time and explained every single feature of the RV. I felt absolutely no pressure to buy anything.
I decided to purchase the RV. Antonio went out of his way to make the purchase as simple and seamless as possible. He initiated the paperwork and coordinated with the owner (consigment) the signatures required.
Now I mentioned, I was brand new to Class A's. Antonio again, went out of his way to secure a local RV Park site for me. He then took time away from his business and took me to the park and showed me how to set up the RV and how to tie into their services.
Antonio, gave me his personal phone number and told me to not hesitate to call should I have any questions.
We stayed at the park and then began our long drive home in another state. Antonio texted the next day during our drive, to verify everything was going ok.
I know from experience in dealing with RV dealerships, that you will never find anyone as attentive, as willing to help you learn and setup, and as willing to ensure you are happy and are safe in driving back after your purchase as Antonio has been.
Antonio has went way over and above than anyone would reasonably be expected to in helping someone buy an RV.
I will also mention the attention to detail in the cleanliness and care taken in maintaining the RV we purchased was bar none the best. I would not hesitate to buy or rent an RV from Kissimmee Orlando RV Rental.
I want to thank Antonio for his kindness and the help he gave to us in...
