I had high expectations coming here after reading the reviews, but I was so wildly disappointed with my experience.
Thao very briefly discussed the issues I was having, then promised the treatments will make it better. There was no explanation of what the treatments would include, what to expect, or a clear plan/timeline to help my individual issues. He was quick to pressure me into a 10 pack of treatments without explaining exactly what I was paying for. Because the least expensive package was $750, I told him I had to discuss it with my husband first. He continued to pressure me and insisted that I call my husband right away. When I was reluctant, he said I could pay for one treatment today then pay for the rest once I spoke to my husband. It sounded reasonable to at least give it a try, so I did.
This isnât my first time trying more natural methods for my disability, and this is my worst experience to date. The office was cluttered, stuffy, had a strange smell, and virtually no privacy. I could easily hear other people on the phone while I was trying to relax after he placed the acupuncture needles.
While the acupuncture itself wasnât bad, the other things he did were incredibly painful. I wasnât being told what he was doing or why, nor was I prepared for any pain. He wasnât very reassuring or comforting when I was clearly uncomfortable with what he was doing. I consider myself to have a high pain tolerance, but it was REALLY bad. And I had no idea when it would be over because he just wasnât communicating with me.
To top it all off, when I went to pay I mentioned the discount for Medicare (Iâm disabledâŚwhich I told him at the beginning). He blatantly said âyou are not on Medicareâ. When I insisted I was and told him I had an insurance card he just said heâd take off $5. The day before he told my husband it would be $10 offâŚHe also incessantly insisted I schedule my next appointment. I refused, explaining I had to speak to my husband about the cost. It all just felt so sketchy, and he seemed far more concerned with getting me to pay for a package than he did about actually helping me feel better. He went as far as to ask me when I would speak to my husband and to call him right after.
I really donât like leaving bad reviews for small businesses, but the whole experience left me feeling uneasy. The worst part is how blindsiding it was because the reviews are so glowing. Iâve only noticed negative effects from the treatment so far. Even if it helps, I wonât put myself through that again. I came in open minded, but I will never...
Read moreI recently visited Pink Heart Acupuncture for a series of treatments, and the experience was remarkable from start to finish.
The intake process was thorough. Dr. Thao explained every step of the procedure.
Dr. Thao also took the time to understand my medical history, concerns, and what I hoped to achieve from the therapy. This personalized approach was refreshing compared to more generic healthcare experiences.
The insertion of the needles was almost painless, and I was surprised by how quickly I started to feel the relaxing effects. During the sessions, I often felt a deep sense of calm and even drifted off to sleep a few times.
After just a couple of sessions, I noticed significant improvements in my back pain, restless legs, and sinus congestion that have caused insomnia.
Dr. Thao also made adjustments on my back, which improved my well-being.
The holistic approach of combining acupuncture, pin point message, and natural herbs to complement the treatments (instead with the prescribed medications with all kinds of side effects) provided lasting benefits.
In summary, my experience at Pink Heart acupuncture surpassed all expectations.
The professionalism, skill, and genuine care exhibited by Dr. Thao and his team not only alleviated my symptoms but also enhanced my overall quality of life.
This level of care and commitment to patient well-being is rare to find.
I highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering acupuncture therapy for pain management, stress relief, or...
Read moreI think that Dr. Thao does a very good job taking care of customers, he is very caring and dedicated to patients. All he wants is for you to be healthy so he wants you to commit to him that you will come and NOT BE LATE.
And I also know he's very busy with his schedule, so he wants you to let him know when to meet. In the course of his work, he has offered discounts to Medicare patients, and he has done the same with many other patients.
What special is that he didn't charge for a consultation for the first appointment, every time he made a diagnosis, it was very accurate.
His working environment is very good and clean, there are rooms for each patient, spacious and comfortable space. Besides doing acupuncture, he also does moxa so the problem of scent is understandable. His clinic is large enough and has 3 rooms, the light is always full and makes the customers coming here feel comfortable.
As for patient care, he did a great job and he helped me recover from my illness, which has tormented me for a long time. His technique is very gental lightly and painless.
