Went in on Saturday to buy some snow boots for my wife. It was the day before her Birthday and she had asked me for a pair. Mike the salesman told me they didn't have the style I was looking for in a size 9 ( the general size she wears) in stock. So I ordered her a pair that way I could show her something ie: a recipe. Mike suggested she come in at her earliest convenience to be measured just to be sure as there were different widths and markers sizes verary. My wife made time today out of her very busy schedule to visit the store around 1 o'clock. The guy working had no one else in the store and would not measure her and gave very vague answers to her question about the specific boot I had purchased for her. Wouldn't even make the time to show her the sizes of the same boot they did have in stock close in size ( 8 and 9.5 ). When I heard this from my wife I called this salesman and he proceeded to blame his coworker and tell me "he didn't want to have two orders out there". I stopped in and asked Bob for a recommendation and he was quick to help. He took care of me after I dropped off a pair of boots repaired next door. He set up a purchase order for a custom boot and I could not be any happier waiting for my boots to come in.

When I returned to pickup my boots, I was pleasantly surprised by the craftmanship and excellence from Evan next door. So I walked back into Red Wing Shoes to get a recommendation for hiking boots since the season is coming and there is no better time to prepare than the present.

Mike was in and he got me set-up with a nice pair of lightweight hiking boots that are well insulated. I could not be happier with a pair of boots. The texture is great and the quality is outstanding especially in 25 below 0.

I came to this store a little over a year ago and I went there for a boot that was more for leisure and style and Mike helped me find just that. I asked him if he had any boots that came up a little higher and in black, and he stated that someone had returned a pair that were my size as well. When he came back with the boots he said that he wasn't too sure if I would be interested in them and opened the box. Inside were a pair of cowboy boots and I've never owned, let alone worn any cowboy boots in my life. I tried them on and i loved them.
