The Hyderabad Indian Grill coonrapids — Restaurant in Coon Rapids

Update 9-19-24. The take out times are still slow, specifically on Fridays.

Update: we have ordered a few more times and the order times have been much faster.

I used to order from Hyderabad in Bloomington, but we moved and it's no longer convenient. We were happy to find that there was a Hyderabad in our area (kind of). I placed an online order from their website and it said the food would be ready in about-15-20 min. When I arrived, they said they were working on it. There was a long line of delivery people waiting as well. I then sat there for over an hour, and they just kept telling everyone, that their order was being worked on or up next. I was told 3 times that my order was next and other's food would come out before mine. I even looked at one of the tags on a bag at the take out counter, and their order was placed after mine. 90 min after placing the order, I received our food.

The food was good, so at least that was a positive. Not sure if I'll go back anytime soon. The wait time really ruined my stay at home date night...

When I saw Masala Dosa on a menu I knew I had to try it. I was not dissapointed. After noticing The Hyderabad Indian Grill had great reviews, I decided to try it out. I was surprised when I saw an empty dining room, but I did not let it deter me. As a person confident in my spice tolerance I ordered the chili momo at spice level 4/5. This was a delicious mistake. New flavors washed over my tongue drenched in the chili sauce. So good except for the extreme follow up pain from too much spice. My advice, if you like spice, start at a 2. They can add more. Please don't skip the masala dosa. That lentil pancake was just perfect wrapping the savory curry spiced chicken. And then dipped in there wonderful chutney it made for quite a delectable Hyderabad lunch. I would recommend anyone to try it out. However, be careful...

I've been driving by this restaurant for a while and today I decided to try it due to my sincere love of curry. I ordered chicken curry at medium spice and garlic naan to go. The young man at the counter was courteous and kind and provided very good service.

The food was piping hot and perfect spiciness for medium, exactly what I want at this spice level. I received enough that I can't finish it in one sitting and I get to eat it as leftovers this week, which is awesome.

This is a great restaurant in my experience and I recommend giving it a shot. Next time I hope to try another dish and I plan to bring friends here. I'm happy to have good Indian food right down the...
