Today I had an appointment with Crate&Barrel in Coral Gables, Miami for a design consultation about the oval marble dining room table i purchased with 4 chairs, but still waiting delivery. When I arrived at the store, they couldn't find my appointment. I showed them my appointment confirmation: Your Appointment Has Been Scheduled! Monday, October 16, 2023 10:00 - 10:45 Eastern Time They finally agreed to honor the reservation for an in-store design consultation and I was introduced to Gloria. As the appointment progressed, I could tell by her aggressive and condescending tone of voice and rude, dismissive behavior that she was genuinely irritated. For example, when I told Gloria that I only had approximate measurements, she stood up in a dramatic way and started to barrage me about how I could possibly turn up to such an appointment without any measurements! I don’t understand why the attitude; the measurement of the table & chairs can be accessed through my account. Gloria lacked not only mere manners, but professionalism and failed horribly at being a face and a representative of such a high-end store as Crate&Barrel! What I hoped would have been an informative design consultation appointment to determine which chairs would work best with the table, which I have purchased already, turned out to be a nightmare. I have lived in many places like NYC, CT, and I have never ever experienced such rudeness from a sales assistant! Gloria’s condescending and aggressive attitude towards me left me in shock! I simply could not believe that a sales rep from a luxury-store like Crate&Barrel would treat me so poorly, especially after making a purchase of $4,000. Read moreYesterday I was discriminated against and disrespected by Mckenzie and the supervisor on duty at 8:30PM. I love Crate & Barrel and went on a shopping spree 2 weeks ago doing a big purchase. I have just moved in and have been buying a lot of home decor and accessories. I bought a shower curtain and did not match with the color of my bathroom I folded the shower curtain and went to return it. The supervisor came over the cashier where Mckenzie was and started sniffing the shower curtain saying that I washed it and Mckenzie saying that it was “faded” and I CLEARLY did not wash the shower curtain and would never do something like that. They kept insisting that I was lying to them and kept on disrespecting me. I do not know if they were discriminating for looking different that the demographic that frequents the store, my accent, or the fact that I was younger than them and I can buy things for myself from my hard work. I used to love Crate & Barrel and used to love waking up and seeing all of my Crate & Barrel accessories and kitchen utensils but this experience left me EXTREMELY dissatisfied. Read moreEXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I was treated as just another consumer and with NO VALUE. Coming to this Crate & Barrel and getting a gift for one to the other has been a very sentimental gift exchange/visit for my mother and I. This year was no different, and I was very excited to get the gift for my mother, but as I got to the register the cashier acted like I was a bother to him and just needed to hurry up. I asked if he could wrap it, to which he refused and explained they don’t do wrapping (since WHEN?! They have always wrapped gifts in years past, and they have paper and boxes for wrapping behind the counter). He offered to use tissue, but that was it. I had to ask him for a box and he just stuck their box in the shopping bag with my mug so I could just do it at home. He acted like he just wanted me to hurry up and finish. This has been the worst trip to Crate & Barrel. Isn’t every customer supposed to be treated valuable and with respect?
