We been hearing great things about this cafe , so we decided to head over today to the coral gables location since is walking distance from the house , we sat down in the outdoors section and it was great , we were brought the menu and the server suggested to take a look at the instagram to have an idea of how the dishes looked before ordering i saw in several pictures the lobster montaditos and i decided i wanted to give them a try , i asked the server to point out in wich part of the menu i could find them since they do have a very extensive menu , she said that they were not the menu , so i of course asked the price she said and my husband heared aswell $25 i was like ok , thats fine , my husband order a croissant sandwich , they brought the food , we ate the food i thought from point of view it was tasty , we ordered check total was $82.93 including tip , for 2 coffes, orange juice , croissant sandwich and lobster montaditos , i tought it was a lot but i took the money out and paid it , then i started adding and it didnt make sense , i asked the server to please bring me again the check after i paid , we see that they were charging $35 for the lobster montadito instead of $25 , my husband goes inside the restaurant and asks the server and she says that she said $35 , this wouldnt be an issue if they had included the dish in the menu and there was and established price , i honestly was not impressed by this place , we live a few blocks away and we thought this was gonna become our favorite new breakfast place , but i see this more the hype than anything else , dont trust everything you see on instagram and be extra careful when they bring the check to make sure they dont change the prices , this is common practice on restaurants on miami beach , i just never thought i had to deal with this at a local joint ,...
Read moreHonestly speaking, this fabulous place has gone to the top of my list for Best breakfast/brunch place in Miami! Everything was wonderful! I can't speak about anything negative about this place. But I will mention the Good: -Excellent service by our waitress (when she finished taking everyone's order, she cited everything back to us and made sure we had ordered everything we wanted. She also told us what was spicy and not) -Trendy Insta/social media vibe which was nice and not too over the top. -The wait time for our table of 6 was about 15 min. (This could vary but we went on the 1st of January) -The COFFEE- It was so good that I felt like ordering two! Some of us had the cafe mocha (they have oat milk option) and OMG it was amazing 🤩 others had cappuccino. The presentations were so nice! -The FOOD- IF you have an appetite, this is the place to go! The plates are bigger than expected but who honestly complains about more. Everyone's plate was delicious, and they all came out at the same time (idk how they do it!) We ended up taking some of it home because honestly you can share a plate with someone. That's how much food they serve. -Finally, the PRICE! - The price is definitely right for the amount of food, service, presentation they deliver.
If you haven't tried this place, it is definitely a must when visiting or living in Miami! And I hope they continue to open up...
Read moreI came here with a friend after seeing all of the wonderful reviews.
We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon. It was busy, but there were plenty of tables. We were sat immediately outside.
The menu is huge! The waitress was great! She showed us a QR code where we could see pictures of the menu items.
I ordered a hot lavender latte and my friend ordered an iced lavender latte. They were delicious!
I ordered the vegetable omelette with a side of tostones and a side of French toast. My friend ordered the Pepe salad, but she didn’t want the three different kinds of protein that it comes with. She only wanted steak, so they took out the chicken and shrimp and added extra steak. It came with two different kinds of dressing. A vinaigrette and a creamy garlic cilantro. (The cilantro sauce was great with the tostones.) The salad was HUGE! She was full and it didn’t look like she’d had any of the salad! It could be two or three meals! I was only able to eat half of my omelette and half of the tostones. I didn’t even touch my French toast. The portions are huge, so even if you’re starving when you arrive, you’ll be fine if you don’t order any sides. Everything was super yummy!
Our bill was about $100 with tip. I think tip might have been added, but our waitress was so nice we tipped extra anyway.
I look forward to returning soon. I highly recommend trying this restaurant...
