BEWARE: DANGEROUS FOOD!! Chicken was expired by 3 WEEKS and nobody noticed!!!
CUIDADO: COMIDA PELIGROSA!! El pollo que estaba descontado a 50% estaba expirado por 3 SEMANAS, y nadie se habia fijado!!
"Fresco" y Mas??? WHAT A JOKE!!! More like "Super Viejo, Expirado y Peligroso"!!
They had about 20-25 bags out of the 10 lb. chicken leg quarters that they advertised at 50% off for $3.98. The expiration date on every bag was March 4th, 2017 and today is March 25th, 2017!!! They just took them off the truck today at 10:00 AM, but the WD employees obviously didn't even bother to check the dates!!!
I told the manager, and he just made excuses, as did the woman who works in the Meat Department. Who knows how many elderly people who mistakenly TRUST Winn-Dixie to carry "fresh" products, or at least NOT EXPIRED products, in this case LONG-EXPIRED products, that can kill them took the product home. Just in the few minutes that I was telling the manager, a few people returned theirs, which they did not know were expired until I said something.
I've encountered expired foods at Winn-Dixie before, but this is the absolute oldest by a long shot. It has never happened to me at any other grocery stores, though. This is DISGUSTING and downright DANGEROUS!! Stay away. I'm reporting them to the US Department of Agriculture, the Health Department, the Attorney General's Office, and Consumer Affairs. But in the meantime, I hope they get sued for their complete recklessness / incompetence which puts their customers' lives at risk.
Oh, and by the way, the lines were outrageous, and they only had two cashiers open. And I had to wait forever in line at Customer Service to get a rain check because it was just as bad. This place is HORRIBLE all around!! I'll have to use my rain check at another WD, and then I vow to NEVER go back. Publix is so much better anyway. And now that I can no longer get Shell gasoline with my Fuel Perks, I'm...
Read moreDisgusting! The place smells terrible the vegetables are rotted the meat is this bizarre dark red I've never seen any beef that color.
Containers were expanding filled with gas like they're rotting inside.
Worst grocery shopping experience ever!
After 15 minutes of smelling the putrid odor of rotting everything I left with a few groceries while holding my breath.
the ice cream I purchased had been thawed and refrozen it was all grainy from the refreezing process.
I truly fear for the health of the people who works there and I would warn against anyone shopping for fresh vegetables are meats especially in the seafood department when everything smells.
based on the ice cream I would say that their freezer refrigeration system had gone down and they did not clean properly so that now there's a rotting putrid dirt at the bottom of all of their cooling units.
no wonder Winn-Dixie change the name so they can distance themselves from this absolutely horrendous grocery store.
It is possible I'm being too generous it was probably much worse than I remember.
I never leave bad reviews I'd rather not say anything but this is simply a warning for people safety.
Shop at this store at your own risk.
I don't think they have any management I think it's just a bunch of workers walking around managing themselves because I couldn't find anyone there who seem to be responsible enough.
the manager I found looked at me like I was an idiot...for complaining about the smell maybe they worked in the putrid stench so long their noses...
Read moreWhat was the worst Winn-Dixie is now an even worse Latin Centric store. It was very strange to see an entire case of rotted white mushrooms with the managers really looking at them wondering why they're squishy and brown
I can't testify to the quality and taste of the meat but they had New York strip steaks that were dark dark dark red I've never seen meat that dark red they looked absolutely bizarre. I told the manager and they look bewildered as well.
When I walked in the entire vegetable section smelled of urine. It smelled like a bathroom had backed up. Unfortunately no in there smells it because they're all accustomed to it.
Maybe something was leaking from their water sprayers that they use to rot and Wilt all of their vegetables.
Why did I go there I was next door at the very good Chinese buffet and needed a gallon of milk and some eggs. I walked out spending only $12 I don't think I've ever gone into a grocery store and only spent $12.
I do absolutely plan on never ever going back to that store again. Fresco e Mas was disgusting... The people seem nice but not one of them seem to speak English except the managers. Oh and one guy in the meat department spoke some English but he didn't know why the meat looks so strange but thought it would be weird to tell...
