To say Iâm disappointed with my daughterâs 5th birthday would be a slight understatement. We LOVED going to patchâs so when my daughter asked to do that for her birthday party it was a no brainer! Seemed reasonable for the price of almost $300 for not having to worry about setting up the decorations and clean up afterwards and 8 pieces of pottery which is the minimum for a birthday. I had dropped off all the decorations the evening before as specified so they would have everything there to set up the day of. We were running slightly behind and showed up about 10 minutes before the party.. but I didnât stress too much because all we needed to do was set out the drinks and food. NO DECORATIONS I BROUGHT HAD EVEN BEEN TAKEN OUT OF THE BAG! I went into panic mode but tried to laugh it off as the employee said they had a lot going on and she had been a little late. The few guests started to arrive so not all the decorations even got put out. The girls then enjoyed being able to pick out their pottery animal to paint and they started painting seeming to be enjoying themselves. I politely asked that since there were only 4 kids there (some had to cancel last minute) if each girl could paint two items. The employee stated she had to ask her manager and came back with âI understand you did pay for eight but unfortunately there wonât be time for each girl to paint twoâ I understood because the time slot was only an hour and half. Again, my daughter loves and enjoys coming to Patchâs so I thought I could ask if JUST HER (the birthday girl) could at least take one extra piece of pottery home and bring it back to paint. I asked after all the other guests had left. The employee stated âIâm not sure but I understand the question since you did pay for 8. I have to check with my manager againâ she came back and said âunfortunately we canât do that. But you will get a $5 coupon when you pick up all pieces so you will be able to paint another birthday animal then if you choose and it would only be like $20-$25â.    Read moreMy daughter and I attended the Christmas tree painting event. Reaching out in advance, they reserved our seats near each other so we could paint the one family tree together. Dawn provided cheesecake bites from the local Lake Norman Cheesecake shop, plus other delicious snacks to level up the festive experience and entered all attendees into a contest to win a gift card. Staff prepared hot cocoa for attendees. She was flexible with groups who brought additional guests, and generous to all, even while handling a misunderstanding of mine. I highly recommend this studio. They have exceptional customer service and offer a wide array of creative and unique project experiences even beyond paint your own pottery. Itâs a perfect place if you like to create, but need a bit of guidance...
Read moreThis is the best paint your own pottery studio around! So many different ways to get creative such as glass fusion, stoneware, bisque etc. With over 1000 pieces to choose from and a couple hundred paint colors you can create something truly unique. What I love about this place is there are no hidden fees, the price of the piece includes EVERYTHING (except pesky sales tax), even the special paints! There is no time limit so you can spend the whole day there if you like and even bring food or have some delivered. When you are done you donât even have to clean up after yourself or your kids, you just leave everything on the table, how great is that?!
For transparency I work here but I am also a customer, this review is based on my experience as...
