None of the employees are friendly. They act so superior to the customers, people who are paying their salaries by keeping the store open. If someone comes in wanting to purchase some items but not really sure what they need, the holier than thou attitudes of the employees probably fills them full of uncertainty and they don't spend as much as they had planned. Just my personal feelings. I don't know. I'm usually high when I go there so I mess with them, trying to get some kind of response. They just keep the stick in their ass though. If you're reading this review, you can buy anything they have cheaper on Amazon or Ebay. Newegg.com has got a great selection too. Some things cost a little more, but, some things cost less. Plus, Staples at La Cantera has amazing sales people. I'm sure one of those places will have what you need, and they are friendly. Like they appreciate your business. Update: One employee, Joseph, has changed my attitude about this place. The one located on the I 35 frontage road is where he works. It has been awhile, so I hope he's still there, and he doesn't know me from Adam I'm sure, but he doesn't talk down to you, he seems super friendly, but also kind of shy, and he knows his stuff. Was eager to get into the root of my problems, had solutions and at the end of the sales experience had opened up and was offering words of encouragement. When I went back in a few days later to grab something I had forgotten he saw me when I walked in the door and made it a point to acknowledge me and though he was assisting someone else he let the other staff know that I was his customer and he intended to finish up what he was doing and be the one who helped me out. Dude you saved the review for this whole place. 3 and a half stars. Oh, screw...
Read moreI am an occupational safety and health consultant and do a lot of training. I replaced my laptop and the new one did not have a VGA output to match my projector. Last Friday, I called Best Buy Corpus Christi and asked the individual that answered if they had a HDMI to VGA converter. Answer, "yes we do". I fought rush hour traffic to drive to BB only to be told by TWO of their sales associates that it did not exist. I told them what I was told, response: "They are always saying that just to get you off they phone". REALLY? One of the BB associates said, "Try Altex, they will have it". I called Altex today and was told that they had a converter. I drove to Altex on McArdle and was greeted as soon as I walked in, unlike BB where I had to search out a sales person. I told the greeting sales associate that I was looking for a HDMI to VGA converter. They showed me one and even tested to make sure that it would serve my need. It did! I bought it. Altex, you are my new electronics store. Thank you for your assistance. Sorry that I cannot remember the sales associates name. He was very helpful. This commentary is voluntary and unsolicited. Read moreThis is the absolute best place to going to get for us TECHY individuals, prices are fair, the staff and service are out of this world they far exceed bestbuy and I know that because bestbuy is a retailer aimed at generalizations of the simple consumers and not toward the actually technical support and server, or network industrial options that many may seek, also check into Darkwarriors as they are a great source to building one's business reputation and promoting small businesses. Altex is and will be a great contender when they grow further, as I hope to see more businesses like them come to play in the next few years, offering wires, relays, encloderurs, cases, bit mining rigs, graphics cards, audio, speakers, wifi solutions, gaming, desktops, custom builds, water cooling system, and so do so much more give them a visit you'll have a blast and who know maybe you'll learn a thing or two about what real customer service feels like when ran properly and honestly, they are not shy and not hard to deal with they are simply put a model business that wal Mart being the disgrace that it is to any business, outta learn a thing or too about from company's...
