Bright crisp,cool. Yes, the air conditioner works! works fine and that should be a priority. Nice air makes the product look nice, and people are comfortable and ready to spend their money, especially in the produce. Ready to keep it all clean. Rotated. Rest oh that store looks good, and slower moving items are marketed with less out but in more of a good presentation and they keep on it. It seems to keep at that. Everybody seems to be cognizant of that and moving its product around looks good. I imagine this is stuff that their market sells.. What goes down here at Padre Island? Some products beat the prices of San Antonio stores. But there's probably at least 10 to 15% up charge here because of the tourists. But the stores atmosphere makes it well worth it which I'd pay 15% just to be treated nicely by most staff, and a clean crisp well executed operation. Small store is kept clean and bright, kind of looks like an old Albertsons? even with all of this traffic shows a good business utilizing their labor $'s constructively in their operations.Yeah they just remodeled this bathroom or they keep it pretty. After checking into our condo on Whitecap Beach, I made a quick trip to Island Market Grocery—just about 3/4 of a mile away. I expected the usual tourist-trap pricing and limited selection, so I only planned to grab a few basics to get us through the night.

But I was pleasantly surprised. The store had a great selection of everything we needed, and the prices were very reasonable—definitely not what I expected from a small beach-town market.

The meat and seafood selection stood out, with fresh and appealing options, and the produce section was well-stocked with a variety of high-quality fruits and vegetables. It made me rethink my grocery plans for the rest of the trip!

Conveniently located on North Padre Island, the Island Market is the only grocery store available without going to the mainland. As such, some things are a bit pricey, but it has all the basics you need.

Nice selection of "beach snacks" like pre-made deli sandwiches, desserts, veggie bags, chips, dips, cookies, and more. Large cooler of individual soft drinks & energy drinks, and a cold beer aisle.

For your big shopping days, a trip ten minutes across the bridge to the HEB Plus is recommended. For a quick stock up or picking up something you need quickly, it's great to have the Island Market nearby.
