Cortland Roller Rink — Local services in Cortland

We had my daughter's birthday party there back in May. While the establishment and the rink itself is really nice. The party experience was not worth the money and hassle. Our "party attendant" didn't end up showing up so I think we ended up with the concession stand girl. She was nice enough but clueless of the party details and process. The package included 3 pitchers of pop which we had asked for 2 fruit punch and 1 sprite then asked for water as well. Well the water counted as one of the pitchers!?! We had also ordered a veggie tray and bags of chips. We did not end up getting the veggie tray. We had purchased the 15 skate package and ended up with a couple sick so we had extra tickets. We had asked the day of the party if those could be used at another time since they were paid for or if it had to be that day. We were told they could be used another time. So this weekend we went to go use them and were told no we could not that it clearly states it online. I have searched and can not find this info. Had we been told they had to be used that day we would of been fine and either cut our losses or given them to someone coming in to "pay it forward" But the misinformation is what is frustrating and disappointing. Day of party I had expressed my frustrations with all the miscommunication and issues of the party. Then for the ticket info that happened this weekend just topped it all off. I only gave one star because none isn’t an option. I had my daughters birthday party here this weekend and it was THE WORST experience ever. Not only did they have literally 5 other parties going on, we paid for 4 whole pizzas and they us one!!! And instead of ordering what we asked for they ordered large sheets of pizza and divided the pizza slices between the 6 parties!! And TOUCHED THE PIZZA WITH BARE HANDS!!!!! And had NOTHING to say when we asked why they weren’t!! Then when we asked for our other pizzas WE PAID FOR they proceeded to sell off the pizza they ordered and made “handmade” pizza with frozen pizza dough and ingredients that were stored improperly and honestly probably could cause botulism. We did not have ANY of the things “included” in our party package that we were told. And when we brought our issues to them, the OWNER was completely rude to my husband and just said “listen the lady who booked your party quit on me so I’m stretched thin”. But I booked my party OVER A MONTH AGO! It was over crowded and the staff was rude. Luckily my daughter is young enough to not notice all of that because we hurried up and got things for her party on our own. Bottom line,...

Me & My family comes to the Courtland Skate Every Saturday religiously 7-10pm. The ONLY reason we STILL come is for Our kids, they love to skate & Champion Roller Rink still hasn’t made a Comeback !! However most nights me & my husband can tolerate the place. Lately the staff hasn’t been at all any help or staffing at all! Tonight 5/22/21 my daughter used her ticket from last weekend to rent skates & she not only got slices in her ankle from the skates pins where the shoe laces are, but The Staff Then Accused us of Not purchasing the skates!?!? a member yelled at me in front of God & everybody else saying i didn’t purchase the skates !! even had that been the case witch it wasn’t So that made up for there poor skates slicing my daughters ankles then finger when she went to check why she was bleeding!!! oh and they never checked on her they gave us a band aid no antibacterial cream etc ! not even an apology but they sure accused me of stealing the skates !!! like i could go behind there and get them myself anyways !!!
