Lollipop Nail Studio — Local services in Costa Mesa

I was so excited to take my daughter to this salon to have mother and daughter manicures and pedicures. We actual visited the salon last year. I was looking for salon that had less toxic products. I also, this salon used natural nail products. I have been trying to schedule an appointment when we are in the Costa Mesa area. This time we got an appointment for both us. My expectations were not met. I do not mind paying more money for manicures and pedicures that are exceptional quality but this nail salon is over priced for the services they provide. The women who worked on my manicure nicked two of my cuticles. I really felt the sting an hour later. Luckily, I had an ointment in my first aid kit to put on the cuticles. She reapplied polish because when I went to reach in my purse the nails were not completely dry even though I waited 20 minutes. When I got home, I notices that nail color is not sooth and the tips of a few nails is coming off already after a few hours. I am really disappointed. We had 2 people working on each of us. Our nail salon experience only lasted for 30 minutes. Seems they were in a hurry to get us done. My pedicure was good. My daughter liked her pedicure and manicure. She also wished that staff would have spent more time on us rather than hurrying. No one really talked to us during our appointment. Good one way., it was quiet. But bad, no personal contact with new clients. It had a different vibe since the last time we were in the salon to check it out. Does seem that they do more appointments for gels. It's a little tough to get an appointment in, but there's definitely a reason why. I've been coming here for a few years and I've always had a great experience with everything. Susan Park does fantastic nail art manicures, and Coleen is AMAZING taking care of my deep toenail beds. I've also had my nails done by both Ckelle and Evelyn, and they're wonderful. My first time at this salon so I was assigned someone at random - and I SCORED! Iris is a newer artist there and she is arguably one of the kindest people I've ever met! While I could tell she's still getting her footing at the salon, I felt as if I was getting my nails done at home by family! She gave me one of the most meticulous manicures I've ever gotten. I have no doubt that the next time I visit her, she's going to knock my socks off with her nail art! I'll definitely be coming back and recommending friends and family to see her!
