6/28/2024, Friday. This incident happened the same day at 5:30PM in the TK Burger Costa Mesa location. It was my first time at Costa Mesa and was hungry for a lettuce wrap burger. My boyfriend kindly brought me to, according to his core fun young adulthood memory, a really good burger joint.
After my bf ordered, I had a question regarding the menu. I asked the cashier, “What is Veggie Garden Burger?”. Unfortunately, the girl cashier with laminated eyebrows, olive skin, may be Hispanic (didn’t get her name), did not give me a kind treatment. She answered, “What’s included are the condiments listed in front right here (pointing at the glass counter sign).”. I replied, “Okay? But what is a Veggie Garden Burger?”. She responded, “It’s right there, listed in front of you. (Pointed at the sign again).”. I had to rephrase my question, “What is the difference between Impossible Burger from Veggie Garden Burger?”. She said, “Impossible burger is vegan and Veggie Garden is vegetarian.”. I responded, “Oh okay, so no meat of some sorts (thinking beef or pork or chicken on the patty).”. She said, “Yeah. Veggie Burger has cheese and Impossible burger is strictly vegan.” I answered, “Okay. Great. Cause that’s not (pointing at the condiments sign) the answer I was looking for about the burger earlier.”. I chuckled. She answered back with a cantankerous tone and raised her eyebrow, “Well, I answered your question.”. And when I was about tell her that she actually was giving me wrong answers, my boyfriend had to say, “WHOA! Okay, let’s go. Let’s get out of here.”. Because he felt embarrassed that his favorite location was treating us with disrespect to the point where he wants that cashier to be fired as she is terrible with providing basic customer service. Read moreI hate being this type of person but just shows how one Employee can change an entire atmosphere on service & food. To the owner, I sure hope you look into the people whom you hire. I walked in this morning, greeted the employee with a good morning but yet I was greeted with not a single hello but to an employee just on his phone. He seemed so annoyed that he had to put his phone away to assist a customer. I proceed to order, very RUDE attitude btw that I was already rethinking of just leaving & I should've instead of giving this business my money. The whole experience was frustrating and left me feeling unsatisfied. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. But that's NOT EVEN EVERYTHING!!!
I ordered a breakfast burrito. I get back to my car open up a greasy oily dripping burrito. It was straight leaking out of the foil... Seems like that employee decided to wake up and just mess up every customers day by his attitude and cooking.. and the cherry on top was when I'm eating my GREASY OILY DRENCHED breakfast burrito I see something odd. THE DAMN TORTILLA HAD MOLD!!! SO DISGUSTING!! I WAS FUIROUS ! Since I have work, your employee sure was lucky I was on the clock or else I would've came back and demanded a refund! but I sure do hope the health inspector goes back to this shop and takes a double look at what these people are serving... I guarantee it was done purposely by the employee, I don't want to assume but I believe this was racially motivated. That employee has issues, you lost a customer & a group of others. NO LONGER A LUNCH SPOT & definitely giving a warning to my husband whos blue collar friends go here as well to be on the look out on this moldy food. Read moreUsually they are on great , but lately I been trying to get different ways to get my burgers no onions ,or no sauce ,straight plain but for some reason I get this SOAPY taste that stains my mouth ,and have had to throw my burger away . Ive brought it to there intentions cause of cheese being placed on my HAMburger before (I'm lactose ) so they said they would write my name and make sure I get handled. when I called nexted day ( I usually order everyday)someone just gave me a answer of "nexted time don't order a cheese " well the soapy issue had happened multiple times and I felt like it should be brought to there intentions and FRANK hit me with the answer " well i don't know what to tell u just get it plain " I make over 300 burgers a day and your the only one complaining" so ya the same responce was given of "I'll make up for it" and taking my name down but I feel like it will be thrown out the...
