I placed an order for a generator last night 2/12/21 at 11:50 pm, after reading about potential power outages expected due to the incoming storm. It was a good price and I could pick it up the next day before the storm so it was a go. This morning around 9 o'clock I checked the status of my order hoping that I could pick it up while I was out and not have to make an extra trip. It was marked as complete, but since I had not picked up the order or received the "ready for pickup" email I called the store. They took my info put me on hold for 20 minutes while they looked for the generator and then hung up on me. I called back and was told that my order would have to be refunded as they did not have the generator. 30 minutes later I had not received an email showing the order cancelation and the charge was still on my card. I checked the website looking for a replacement and it still showed that there were 2 of the generators that I ordered. I decided to make the trip to the store and check for myself. Once I arrived I discovered that I had been lied to because in fact there were actually 2 of the generators that I ordered sitting on the shelf. I took it to the customer service desk and explained the situation. The people there were in fact the people I had spoken to earlier and they completed the order without apology or explaining why I was in fact purposely lied to. The order had not been canceled and/or refunded as I was told over the phone it would be so I feel this is an all around failure for this stores location. I am a new customer to Atwoods but after the behavior and treatment by the employees today this will probably be my last purchase. I am completely appalled by this situation. I'm not sure of they were trying to keep them back for someone they knew or themselves to purchase later or if they were actually just too lazy to go and look. Read moreI usually do not post anything about feed stores cuz they're usually good and especially the customer service but today I just barely left from from the store not only did I feel ignored or acknowledged by the cashier didn't even really look my way was on the phone the whole time didn't even see that I had dog food with me at the moment I had to tell her if I could borrow the gun to scan it in which is completely fine but not only did she just give me her back I also had to pack my own things in a bag wasn't much but the customer service she gave me was trash and not only that made us feel not welcomed and especially not looking our way I hope you guys got cameras whether you're on the phone customers come first ...
