Sooo first off .. we happened to by the grace of god we had the ability to experience this magical , loving place .. so my wife and I decided literally last minute to see if we could find a room and stay the night .. well boom I found a bungalow for a great price … booked it and arrived for check in … first off Nina greeted me at the door, huge smile and welcoming presence.. showed us the room .. very nice . Perfect for what we needed .. well just my luck to have a Restruant across the driveway …. So we went out and explored .. came back to try the food …… OMG .. the pork chops were fried to perfection. The mofongo was soo tasty , the rice and beans were soo flavorful. Then to top it off the coco nut margaritas washed it down .. they were strong and tasty .. Read moreThe main dishes are sold a la carte it seems. Of course since we're in PR we added mofongo on the side. My wife had grilled chicken breast, and I had the fried pork. Her chicken breast was better than my pork to be honest. My fried pork was fried too long and was pretty hard. My son had the same thing, and his was cooked similar but not as bad. However, her chicken breast was perfectly seasoned. The mofongo was so-so to be fair.
All in all, for three entree items with three sides of mofongo, two cans of sodas, and a bottle of water it was over $61 (cash only).

Read moreThis was hands down the best food I had on the island, and with an incredible value. The frituras were huge and tasted incredibly fresh, we got the mahi mahi. We also shared the skirt steak and shrimp which tasted juicy and came with a huge side option - we chose the mofongo and it was divine. Somehow perfectly moist, dry, seasoned and had that subtle crunch. I only regret not taking a picture of the food, but my focus was devouring everything.
