Island Charm - Culebra! Studios & Suites — Hotel in Culebra

For my wife and me it was the second trip to the beautiful Island of Culebra.

At this time we stayed in Island Charm appartments, hosted by Heather and Alfonso.

First of all - location, location, location! The three

storage blue with white trims house is built on the hill facing the largest on the island Ensenada Honda inlet.   The vew from our Seahorse one bedroom unit was just jaw-dropping. Particularly when you watching sunsets.

Located in the middle part of the island in one of the most respectful and quiet neighborhood, the house is only few minutes away from airport, car rental, grocery stores, restaurants. Because of the central location it's about equally remote from all popular beaches. The most famous Flamenco Beach is only 10 minutes away by car or a golf cart, which is the number one choice of getting around among the guests of Culebra. Playa Tamarindo, known for the snorkeling with turtles and stingrays is even closer.

The appartment itself was beautifully decorated with accent in seahorse themes. Everything inside was meticulously spotless. We were impressed by the 5-star hotel style bodywash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers, filled with high quality toiletries in the shower room.

Our hosts has one of the best " Customer Service Department " we met. They responded  fast and efficiently to the few requests were made.

The unit is equipped with its own wireless internet router. So the signal was always strong

and steady what allowed us easily to browse the web, to communicate and even to do some work remotely. We liked the modern kitchen equipment and the dishware provided.

All together we had a perfect

accommodation and we are hopping for the opportunity to stay in the Island Charm the next year again.

Surely we strongly recommend it to anybody!

The studio suite with king bed we stayed in is on the lowest level of the building. The porch/patio is so nice with comfy oversized rocking chairs. I did not try the hammock which is stored in the very spacious closet inside. It is a lovely super clean space all around. We arrived very tired and sweaty. We were looking forward to our luxury room and a shower immediately. I was not expecting to need the property manager to help us for the first 2-3 hours of our stay. All the window screens were torn, most windows were not working- the property manager got this functioning, then the shower faucet issues required another call and visit. There were other small issues as well. Maybe my expectations for this room were too high due to the online description, cost and the ratings I read. The location of the building is good; very convenient to fantastic coffee shop, the liquor store, and town with restaurants. Although I didn’t stay at Island Charm due to booking.com double booking the room. Heather the owner was a peach! She not only gave me advice on how to get to Culebra, she also gave me info on the transportation available on Culebra. When I discovered someone else had checked in right before me Heather made it right, right away. She answered my every call and she made my trip a lot less stressful. Let me tell you my trip to San Juan and then to Culebra was a disaster. Heather salvaged my trip and found us another spot we could stay not far from hers. I def recommend to stay at Island charm!
