Update : Owner taking responsibility and personal interests +1 star. Hope this review wasn't overly critical. I know for a business a single bad interaction can have a cascading effect one doesn't even realize. Thank you for reaching out. I will be coming around still when I'm in the area.
First two trips to the store I was met by passionate gamers and very enthusiastically talked about Magic the Gathering market, the artwork and overall gaming experience and that was great. The 3rd time I was met with a very disinterested individual who seemed more drained and like he didn't want to be there. He was also slightly rude when trying to engage with him about Magic. Had that been my first experience with the place I probably would not come back. I'll give this place a 4 star as it is a wonderful shop, beautiful displays and great selection. I feel as though maybe a little bit of guidance and help with only that individual would push it to a perfect score. Nothing against the individual I just feel he either had a bad day or genuinely is drained by the line of work. I wish nothing but success for this business and that...
Read moreWent to two different locations. Pricing in the locations themselves and between the two locations were wildly inconsistent on the video games. Four copies of one game had three different values at one store, and the same game had values that were nearly half price at another location.
Overall was a nice store, like that there was a good variety of card/video/ other roleplay style games there.
The only thing that was really off-putting was the employee at the Cullman location (3/30/25 @19:00) was WAY too friendly when I walked in, to the point if I was alone I would have walked out because it was harassing in a way. He welcomed us in, then ask this if he could help with find anything. Never been in this damn store before can I not just look around. A simple "welcome" would have been plenty.
I'm disabled and walk with a cane, it was very patronizing and demeaning. I'm physically handicapped not mentally handicapped, I can help myself for...

Also whoever was running the counter today had a condescending tone about how to "pull" the cards out of the book and where to place them. ( I placed it on the glass). If you want people to place it in your little leather thing put a sign up saying that. Preferably on the counter where people are looking at the cards. Anyways ,my family has spent way too much money in that store to be chastised with "house rule" etiquette...
