I received a gift card from my employer for GA Nails as a treat for all my hard work. I decided that I would treat myself to a relaxing manicure today. I was mistaken. Today was by far the worst experience at a nail salon I have ever had thanks to the woman with the burgundy-dyed hair, koi fish tattoo on her right arm, and the lazy eye.

I went in at 2:00pm on a Friday, and there was only one other older lady in the location who was finished with her services, but waiting on her ride. I requested an acrylic fill-in, to shorten my nails, and finish with gel polish. I was told to pick a color and was seated. About 5 minutes passed, and my nail tech finally came up. She proceeds to place a piece of gum in her mouth and loudly open-mouth chew. Huge pet peeve of mine. As an adult, you would think my tech would have enough etiquette to not smack her gum. She then proceeds to belch to relieve herself of her aforementioned lunch break throughout the appointment. I’m less than a foot from her face smelling her partially-digested lunch and mint gum concoction. She had zero regard for her actions and how she was presenting herself which worried me from the get-go. I want this to be a relaxing experience but it only got worse from there. She then looks at my nails, which had been done about 2 weeks prior at another salon, and asked me where I had gotten them done. She kept evaluating them like they looked ridiculous. I am very self-conscious about my nails due to my anxiety and biting the nail and the skin around them. The other salon in question always does great in making me feel valued and asking how I want my nails done.

She then starts to dremel my nails on the highest speed setting, rolling over my actual skin numerous times. Why was she in such a rush when myself and the other woman were the only two people present? She then clipped the tip off of one of my nails only. Again, my natural nails are very short. I expected her to put on a tip but she left it as-is and said “guess this one’s going to be shorter.” Excuse me? She never asked me what shape I wanted my nails. I love square nails. I now have oval nails with my middle finger about half of the size of the rest of my fingers. The gel polish was applied so thin that you can see through the acrylic. She rushed through the rest of my services to then tend to a pedicure that walked through the door.

I have never felt more disrespected as a client like I was today. I’ll never return and I hope this woman is reprimanded for...

I am sure many love this salon and will be offended by my review however buyer beware. The first time I went to the salon the managers husband cut my finger open with what I later was told was a brand new drill they applied what I thought was an antiseptic and 24 hours later I had to seek medical help because I had pus running out of my finger despite me putting Neosporin and a Band-Aid on it. subsequently I went back and showed them what had happened and they were very apologetic and gave me more Band-Aids and they all talk to me and gave me a $30 gift card. I went back the following week for a pedicure figuring this was a one time incident and he would not be anywhere near me again that was fine. taking the chance that it was a one time event I went back today to have my S & S taken off and a gel manicure. Who did they send to take the S & S off but the man fortunately all he had to do was wrap my fingers with acetone and aluminum foil and then walked away. The young lady came to do my nails she took the rest of the previous acrylic off and then started applying the gel polish without filing my nails without shaping my nails without pushing the cuticle back and as she was applying the polish I told her it was the lump lumpy globs of polish and I was not happy. This is where we pretend to not understand English and said you would love it when it’s done I kept saying no I do not like it she kept saying oh it is so pretty I said my nails are sharp can you file them she took a buffer out and just rubbed it across the top of my nails at that point I knew I was not going to get what I wanted and much to my shock they have a sign up that says 20% off and I still had to pay $40 for some thing that is not right that I did not get the service of and again I was told next time you come back we have Manager give you discount well folks there won’t be a next time I cannot believe the lack of customer service. And I do need to mention all three times that I went I had an appointment all three times they kept me waiting at least 30 minutes past my appointment time and apologized because there were walkins. Best nail place i have been too! Kind ,efficient ,calm atmosphere! And the work they do is omg great!i have been coming here for about a month and half started off withe basic pedicure. Kathy is my personal go to nail tech. She just made me feel welcome every time i walk through the door. I work alot and was going thur the list of all the different things they do. And my most favorite pedicure is called the jelly pedicure. I work alot of 60 hrs a week and my legs and feet have never felt so good. Thats my go to ! She never hurts me i have been places where it hurts or they nick me she never has and judgement free zone . Men are definitely welcome here also. They also have a huge selection of services. If you want to fell pampered and cared for this is the place too go! Kathy is my regular tech and she is so good if I haven’t made an appointment and she is with someone else i will wait for her. The message chairs are amazing if you are tall or short the chairs are adjustable so you will can adjust and enjoy the enjoyable massage. Today I brought my daughter in today and she got mani pedi with sns nails! She felt completely happy and blown away with the great service and nail design! Will attach picture .
