My daughter and I visited Rice for the first time last Thursday night. The dining room is quite small and there was a line of people waiting to be seated. We waited maybe 15-20 minutes. I typically order pepper steak my first time at an Asian restaurant. That is generally how I make comparisons between places. Their pepper steak was very good, however the portion size was really only large enough for one person. Typically at dinner most restaurants have bigger entrees with plenty to share or take home. Don’t plan on sharing here or you will go hungry. They charge $2 extra if you want fried rice. My daughter ordered some huge shrimp noodle bowl. She did not like it at all, but was too polite to send it back. It was swimming in some clear goo and the noodles tasted a bit like store ramen but not quite as good, as if that were possible. The shrimp were a decent size but under seasoned. Needless to say we did not take that dish gone and I took her to Panda Express after we left. 🙁

Made our first trip into Rice for sushi - we’ve ordered Chinese dishes from them in the past and have been pleased. We typically started with a ginger salad but their dressing is premade and contains peanuts so that eliminated that as an option for me so I went with the egg drop soup as a starter. It was delightful. Our sushi roll order went from basic to a bit more extra - spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll and the pink lady. Josh also got an order of salmon sashimi which he said was good but the appearance wasn’t as good as at other places. The spicy tuna roll was as you would expect, the rainbow roll was average in quality but the pink lady was exceptional. It was our first time with the sushi menu and as I stated before we’ve been very pleased with the take out Chinese so perhaps we just hit it on an off night. The restaurant was very busy at the time of our visit.

Just wanted to give a big shoutout to Rice Restaurant in Forsyth County. It’s hands-down our favorite place to grab some fried rice and sushi. Let’s talk about their fried rice - it’s amazing! Seriously, every bite is like a flavor party in your mouth. We can’t get enough of it. And the sushi? My husband is a huge fan. It’s always fresh, creative, and super tasty. If you’re into sushi, you’ve got to try it here. This place is always hopping with people, which just goes to show how great it is. But don’t worry, even when it’s packed, the staff are super cool and on top of everything. You’re always in good hands. So, if you’re ever in the mood for some killer fried rice or sushi, you’ve got to check out Rice Restaurant. It’s more than just a meal, it’s a whole vibe. Trust me, you’re going to love it!

Rice has been our go-to restaurant for sushi for the past few years. It’s a great date night spot and honestly the best place for sushi in the area. Tonight, a Thursday, we were seated immediately in a sea of people. Every table was full almost the whole hour and fifteen minutes we were there. Many people were simply waiting for much of the time. Our first issue was when my sushi order came out wrong. I specifically ordered salmon belly sushi (NOT sashimi and NOT aburi-style). I was brought out the aburi-style, which is slightly cooked, chef’s special essentially. I’ve had it before and it’s great but not what I ordered. When I pointed out the mistake to the server (A), she argued with me and insisted I was wrong. My daughter’s food came out about 15 minutes later than everyone else’s and server A admitted their kitchen was backed up. I flagged down another server (B) to explain my sushi issue and he took it away to have it fixed. In the meantime, I asked server A for a menu to order another round of sushi for the table. It took about 10 minutes for the menu to show up and almost 20 minutes for my fixed sushi to be served. At this point, we were so frustrated we decided not to place any further orders and sat at our table with dirty dishes and empty cups for another 25 minutes until our server came to check on us, and we asked for the check. The food that came out correctly was good, but the experience was subpar. In all, on four people, we spent HALF of what we normally spend for two people. I’m not sure if they experienced an influx of customers unexpectedly or what the issue was, but this is not the Rice experience we’ve come to...

This place is horrible as far as costumer service and food portions for what you pay. My boyfriend and I went here a few days ago and ordered the lettuce wrap appetizer first which was $6.50 i believe or maybe $5.50 and when it came out we were shocked at the portion size. It was two little pieces of lettuce! For that price I would expect at least 4 to 5 pieces. Then his mom called in an order to go while we were eating there and she called us and said she was put on hold as soon as they answered and never got back to her. She called back again and the same thing happened. When we told the manager about all this he was very rude and didn't even appologize or offer to take the crappy lettuce wraps off the bill. You would think a smart business person would knock off some money off the bill and appologize if they want to keep that costumer coming back but not this place! Seemed like he did not care at all, and he was very short and unprofessional about it. Never coming back here again. Also, the whole time we were there we were served by like 3 or 4 different serves... The food was not that good. I have eaten at a ton of different Asian places and no where has been this unpleasant. You can get much better food for the price and much bigger portions at a ton of other places. Beware what you order too especially those lettuce wraps, it does not say on the menu how many pieces it comes with, which it should! We left upset without tipping...

Let me start by saying the food was very good. However the service was beyond terrible all most twilight zone ish. We were great customers of Rice up to about 3 years ago when we stopped coming due to change in travel plans. We decided to stop in today may 2nd 2025 they must have changed management . The old waitstaff that knew us so well was non existent. Our waiter was horrible at first I thought it was a language barrier he never understood what I was saying while ordering. He said he didn't hear me each time. I ordered coconut soup that comes for 2 I told him twice to have no chicken add shrimp. We don't eat meat on Fridays. The soup came out with chicken. We had him remake it. I asked for calamari I had to say it 3times until it registered . My wife asked for unsweetened tea he brought out a half and half he said he tried to make it taste better. The 2 nd bowl of soup came out with chicken again he said the shrimp would be very expensive to add at $2.50 a shrimp. When ordering our main course I said 3 times and he would say he couldn't hear so i i raised my voice and he was able to hear. I'm sorry if he has hearing lossbbut i sked him if he was hard of hearing he said no. I usually don't do bad reviews but he was either joking with us or he was...
